...has some very cool tracks on it..."Cold Feet", "Weird Woman", "The River"...but the collaborations with this certain Melanie Williams do suck!

A great album - much overlooked when initially released - the only real dud tracks are "You Can Fly" /"One Last Kiss" feat. Melanie williams and "The Grave" which is abit too prog-noodly to be exciting. This second Lp of theirs is MUCH better than their debut released over six years earlier - I recommend you seek it out: Best Tracks : Ripple, Hello, The River, and Unwanted.

I certainly half-agree with Sir Martian Gray.

1. Second LP much better than their first : TRUE.
2. Your best tracks aren't mine. Matter of taste ? surely. The River is a common guitar/drum track, with a melody for kids. Listen to those bells ! EEEK. Could go on about the others.
3. One Last Kiss ? Best on the album. YEEEEEEEES ! So much power. Drums. Melody. Wow. Superhighways ain't bad. Common as Muck ain't bad too. Very "Technique".

Why do you keep on asking about Kim Wilde, Antoine? Actually that is a good question... wish I had the answer to that one.

Superhighways is a good album in my opinion, my favourite track probably being Cold Feet.

When watching the pilot episode of the BBC series by the same name, and the opening beats of the theme started, I instantly knew it was the Other Two.

Why the producers scrapped this tune in favour of some dire TV muzak after the pilot is beyond me.

1. Kim indeed appears on a BBC show called Garden Invaders

2. She recently auctioned her bra for charity. Apparently it went for £200!

Now what conclusion can we draw from that, Shug??

To return to the original topic, the copy I ordered arrived yesterday; I listened to about the first half. First impression: not bad. Gillian really isn't cut out to be a singer though.

No - I suppose the singing isn't the strong bit (but then neither was Barney really), but once you get familiar with it, Patrick, some of those tunes are truly ace. Persevere with it, and you'll be rewarded..... :)

I definitely intend to listen to it some more, Martin. It does sound promising.
