Seriously, though, i'm real excited to hear about them going through the back catalogue. We were basically told the Coachella set is going to be an hour of standard Festival shit. This should be the set at Coachella: Crystal Regret Temptation BLT Touched Atmosphere LWTUA Blue Monday True Faith Krafty Transmission The other shows may be more interesting. I wish i hadn't decided to do Coachella. I'd prefer to fly to Chicago and New York. Probably could have done both shows for the cost of a weekend in Palm Spings. Oh well, live and learn.
Stop it MIKE you will be telling us next you WANT to see them play BLUE MONDAY!

Sorry i could have sworn it was YOU.
No Blue Monday, I will just have to shout " Stop looking at yer Auto Cue and get a proper haircut, oh and where's the Hohner Melodica ( on my shelf
)?
This would be rather splendid indeed, luckily I am on good terms with the bank manager. The missus has given me a green light for any series of US dates as well, so fingers crossed!

I'll be going to them all if I can - it's been an ambition for 20 years to a) be able to see New Order in the States; b) do a US road trip. Maybe I will get my chance!

But didnt you say it would never happen;)
No I quoted what the info coming from New Order HQ was. There's still something about this Billboard report that doesn't ring quite right, almost as though Hooky is feeding them all the things that crop up on here! Wouldn't mind betting that the journo has taken it all from here and put two and two together with the news they are adding some US shows. Coachella warm-up is now Oakland on 29th April.
How many of our US brethren will now be making excuses they can't make Chicago or New York either?! ![]()
Sorry to be off topic, but the Confederate Flag has NOTHING to do with slave owners. Brian...
as a gambling man I was thinking of running a book on more brit fans at US shows versus US fans at European shows but after reading over the threads on here realised it was a bit of a non starter. Love the states hope to get over again if they play if only to help outnumber the locals!

a long way to go, but a short time to get there.

I'd bet money on these people to make it to N'Ahlins in time.

Henry J Kaiser Arena.
Only problem is... the Henry J Kaiser Arena is on Oakland, not San Francisco ![]()
Well, ok, you should have to cross the world-famous Golden Gate across the bay from San Francisco, but still ;)

Wrong bridge, Nic.
A BRIDGE TOO FAR.
I was only repeating what was on the LINK.
Strange but THE CHEMICALS websit has NO MENTION of this several hours LATER!

I won't be able to go to the Chicago show because traffic will be horrible so I think i'll stay @ home :)
Wenorder and Bentley and Tristan and Jesse, and Jeff, get yer asses here for that show so we can watch a live DVD while the rest get stuck in traffic :)

I believe WenOrder will do Chicago, as far as I know, he's even considering riding back to NYC with me... ![]()
Well, 12h of driving from Montréal to Chicago, I've done 9 one time.. luckily, there is a mandatory stop at Niagara Falls in the middle of the road, so it won't be too mad.
Will be a first time I go further than Toronto in the west !

No, the Golden Gate goes from San Francisco north to Marin County; I believe the bridge from SF east to Oakland is called the Bay Bridge.
"We've all been listening to the older stuff and realizing that we'd love to play songs like 'This Time of Night,' 'Leave Me Alone,' 'The Village,' 'Thieves Like Us' and 'Perfect Kiss,'" he says. "But god knows how we're going to do that. I honestly can't figure it out, because with festivals, you only get to play for an hour usually."
Great news to wake up to this morning.
