Well, don't worry if you see a little advertisement on NOOL these days, I'm checking to see if we can get any money at all from this to pay for a better hosting solution.

So if you buy ANYTHING from Amazon, PLEASE use the links on the front page, it will put money directly into the NOOL fund.

:bow2:

Will try to find more shops and stuff to help... but I want it to be part of the site and not annoying.

Not to sound abrasive, but how about asking the billionaire wankers at Warner to give you a couple bucks to run the site. Paying you would surely be cheaper than if they had to create a fan site themselves.

I sent them a mail today, because I'm seriously tired of the "service unavailable" or "server too busy".

I'll see if I'll get an answer.. but advertising New Order products is not that bad, so we'll see how it goes.. if I ever get one check, I'll be very surprised, but who knows ;)

then it would no longer be an independant fan site... Warner could "edit" things maybe :skeptic:

seems cool to me... just no popups or spyware, Spotnick shouldnt have to pay for it all.

maybe you could have a link to get CDs for each geographic region?

don't know if this is a good deal or not, but CD Universe is a dependable way to get CDs in the USA, more dependable than Amazon IMO...

Sounds like a good idea, unless it goes too far. I couldn`t imagine logging on and seeing 'NewOrderOnline sponsered by Head & Shoulders'...

I do belive Rocket Mick is currently being sponsered by Walkers Crisps.:D

Not my point, really...

Sponsors will ALWAYS be related to New Order in some way...

Until we can do our own shop :evil4:

I don't mind the ads much...

Glad that you mailed Warner Nic...only problem is that they will probably want more "control" over the site...Do you think that it makes sense to do an annual round of "salvation" via paypal...at least when you go to Warner you can show that many of the members have skin in the game.

Of course, this site would also be a logical place for warner to sell special/unique items/tracks that may not warrant a large commercial release and distribution. I'm a big believer that there is $$ for the artist and record companies to be made by catering to the 5-10% of hardcore fans that really have a history and investment with the band.

alrighty, then. considering how often i patronize amazon, you should have enough money coming in to beat out rupert murdoch in a few months!

Warner can cough up some dosh and class it as a donation. That way they claim the tax back (UK) and they have no editing rights on NOOL.
