Not sure if this qualifies, but just 60 minutes ago Krafty got its radio debut in our city. A program called "Four at 5" on 94.9 gives listeners four songs to listen to for their drive home and these songs are tied by a theme. Today's was "new releases". First and third I didn't know the artist, third was Garbage's new one, and the fourth and tops was Krafty. No intro - just grooved right in after No. 3. After it ended here's what the DJ says:

"They sound absolutely terrific. New Order is back with a new album due sometime in April and that song from Waiting For The Sirens' Call is called Krafty. Love it."

Now, I imagine other major cities have had this in their daily rotation, but for Krafty to premiere 45 days before the album comes out in a city of this size (200,000) is great news. Best run I've had all week after listening to that!

Cheers all!

hmmm...when Krafty was aired locally here for the first time (that I heard anyway) it was followed by Garbage's new song as well...is Garbage on Warner? If so perhaps they are pushing them together...

To Dallas posters:

has Krafty been played on the radio here yet?

Not a bloody peep here in Houston Texas. However, for those not familiar with Houston, we have one crappy station called 104.1 that plays the trendiest of the teeny bopper/jlo/la crapno shit. We have a slightly better 94.5 that plays "alternative" so long as your definition of alternative is modern us rock with a couple of cold play songs thrown in. If they play a show here, they will probably play them here though...its just clear channel communications owns these stations and their playlists are geared for their tours...no freedom for the djs to play what they want.

Give it some time, Krafty debuted last MONDAY it's career in North America... so it's right now a new release, so it should get is "yes" or "no" quite soon.

I'll check the local radio websites and see if it gets in the playlists... and I'll ASK FOR IT.

Which is the key... call the damned radio and ask them to play to song.... it's the only way to help the band!

Now come on, which station would you even hope to heaar Krafty on in Dallas??? KSCS, the Wolf??? Ooops...not country enough...

Uhm...the beat...nope...not rappy enough...

KISS FM??? Nope, not top 40 enough...

Mix 102.9....hmmm....maybe, but I sure as you know what wouldn't hold my breath for that one, as they seem to think that New order's catalogue consists of BLT...

Unfortunately for you folks in Dallas, you get SHIT on the radio...KDL use to throw in the occasional New order choon, but first they switched to rap, and now they are "WHERE LATINOS LIVE"...so you won't see it there...

Not that the radio is that much better here in Austin!!!

Agreed, the radio stations here in Dallas suck. But to fair to Mix 102.9, they do play True Faith as well as well BLT. :)

Maybe, The EDGE?

uhm...the edge hasn't played anything good in about 3 or 4 years now...probably longer than that...they didn't play squat when Get Ready came out...and since KEGL has gone away, the edge seems to be getting harder and harder...actually, there is one station in Dallas that you might hear Krafty on....KNON...since they let just about anybody play on their station!!!

Not heard in New York yet, but played in Boise a week ago.

I think we've found the determining factor on where they should play a gig!:spit:

Krafty' s getting quite a lot of airplay here, on two of the more intelligent stations. Heard it on daily basis on 101, also on Otvoreni.
