New forum created especially to talk about the upcoming gigs

This is an archived legacy thread. Replies are closed, but the discussion is preserved.

This is to make sure people wanting to meet eachothers at the upcoming gigs have the right place to talk about it, so we have created a special forum just for that.

On the long run, it should be merged back with this one, but it'll allow you to have specific thread on each live dates and dicuss about details without having the threads going below the early pages because of many other New Order related news.

So please take your time to visit the Ceremony forum.

It should show up as a "sub-forum" eventually, so you'll have an easy access to it directly from the main forum.

There is only about 11 threads over on that forum. Is there any way you could put some more on over there (there are a good few related threads if you fick back the past 4 or 5 pages)

If it happens, I am sure Hyde Park will be superb and I'm ready to get my ticket.

This begs the question: will they undertake an indoor tour of the UK and Ireland or will they limit their live work in the UK to just the fest appearances to (possibly) Hyde Park, Glasto and T in the Park? I've a yearning to see them at Brixton Academy again...:bow2:

I just wouldn't call it Ceremony, as we've already had a site and a mailing list with that name... call it Get Ready... as for "get ready for New Order's tour"...

Hey, the subscription now fully works on the new forum too! Well done! :thumb:

So, here is a question.

If I knew where the UK warm-up gig is going to be (via a very reliable source), would it really piss the band and their management off by posting it here?

Hypothetically of course................

Yes it would. Seeing as it isn't actually happening for definite, as they may decide not to use the option they have on the venue after all. What is the point in speculating?

[black]NEW ORDER TO SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA?

It has been a long time since New Order has come to San Diego. I hope they don't bunch us in with the dates for Los Angeles. There is lots of play time on local stations 91X and FM94.9 and internet based www.daygloradio.com. I'm hoping that they follow The Cure's lead last year by playing Coachella and then the festivals in Europe, then finally coming to SAN DIEGO![/black]

Sorry peeps I gotta ask and get it straight. The only U.S. confirmed gigs for NO as of 03/11/2005 are

  1. OAKLAND
  2. CoachHila (sp) festival
  3. Chicago
  4. New York

I want to make sure before I book a flight out to OAK TOWN.

thanks for your help, I couldn't find the info, elsewhere. I live in Houston, I don't know if they set a date to play here.

After seeing NO with the Area 1 tour a few years back, I figured flying to Chi-town was a small price to pay. Got my ticket last week. It's a month away and I can't wait.

See ya in Chicago, if you're gonna be there.

Anyone traveling from the uk to Spain and/or Portugal for the upcoming gigs?

If so, please do contact me.

PS If anyone has direct contact details for both Ness and Al Jarvis I would be grateful if you could ask them to contact me ASAP please. Thanks.

Just wondering is Hyde Park going to be the only gig that will last over an hour. All other gigs appear to be festivals which dont give enough livetime

Oh I dunno. Some of the best NO gigs I have been to lasted between 8 and 10 songs - Brixton Ace for example. Mmmmum sez it's MMMMAGIC.
