People who do those sorts of "pay for information, not the product" auctions are wankers. Fair enough, if you're gullible enough to fall for it then you get what you deserve. But sometimes they do dress up their auctions in such a vauge way inexperienced eBayers can get caught out quite alot.

When I was hunting for a decent price for a 40gb iPod on eBay last year I came across about fifty of those types of auctions and quickly saw them for what they were. They simply wasted my time. One of my mates has sold eBay "links" in the past and his feedback record has been stung accordingly by irate buyers who feel duped. Even he says the "pyramid schemes" that award link sellers are mostly bollocks too.

It's not worth it, especially for £1.49.
