Neither KRAFTY nor BM are THE BEST but I voted Krafty. Blue Monday has washed away my poor little brain.
Blue Monday. Doesn't much matter if it's overplayed at the gigs or not, it still sounds a helluva lot better than 99% of the stuff when it's on the radio, either on the "alternative" stations or the pop ones. After 20+ years, it still sounds top-notch. 
why does everybody bash these two songs? they are both quite good, Blue Monday has great energy and Krafty is the most uplifing song on the new record. what do you like about New Order then?

It has to be Blue Monday. Krafty is just New Order by numbers. I'm a little disappointed with it.

do me a favour. an epic milstone record, that re-wrote the music rule book and turned a generation on to dance music (Blue Monday) vs a light-weight, enjoyable, here today gone tomorrow pop song (Krafty). No contest.

Blue Moon Day blows the arse out of most vehicles on the road. It did back in '83 and it still does today. To compare it so lightly with other tracks is somewhat discouraging - its a concept song really and as such is not like comparing cheese to eggs.
Crank the 12" up on a massive rig and it still blows rice through the air.

Look at the respect Blue Monday still gets on the dance floor and on the turntables. I like Krafty, but come on - it's not even the same league. Hell, they're not even playing the same sport.

A bit unfair though, comparing an unreleased track to the best selling 12" single of all time (that record will hold through history, due to the demise of vinyl)
'Blue Monday' changed the way a generation of musicians approached music.
Although 'Krafty' is a good single, it has the propensity to change absolutely nothing.
So, unless you're braindead, Blue Monday wins as to being influential... in other areas - who knows?
It shouldn't really be Krafty Vs. BM, more Krafty Vs. BLT because I feel that BLT can be given a rest for a while in favour of Krafty in the live sets & you could rotate BM, PK & an EGG/586 medley as encores for the live sets as well.
