If this keeps up Krafty will be making a run for Blue Monday for most remixes. :eek: At this rate there will be 20 versions by next week, and 50 by the time the album is released. :laugh:

So the album release date has been pushed back again to the 26th? Amazon.com ( and yes, I do know that all dates are subject to change ) has it to be out on the 12th.

I just noticed... no Krafty single for the US!!!

It's all on iTunes and others...

So hurry to order the UK edition and put New Order on the chart map!

(I'll double check this though...)

Mmm... now it's interesting to buy a US version. I was about already to buy the UK one. :)

But wait, that remixed track - isn't it a hint this track to be released as a single? Maybe it's a remix off a second single in the UK and first in the US? :rolleyes:

I wish they would just make things simple & have all the remixes & such on each one of the digital music programs ( I personally use itunes, but have bought all the "real" new order albums). Although, I'm now really excited because of the GIAUE remix.

For those unaware, the GIAUE mixer Mac Quayle has an interesting history with New Order and Electronic. A lot of more commercial production and remix work in his recent resume:

Don't know that I like the sound of a vocal mix though, may not veer too far from the original. I'm hoping for a major remix - beefed up with the vocals stripped back.

My point was that along with buying the local CD of WFTSC, I'll now need to get both the US and Japanese versions to cover all the exclusive tracks. Not to mention CD promos, vinyl, various CD singles and now, digital downloads in order to cover all of the Krafty versions.

According to the Twisted Tenderness liner notes... he did the keyboards on Breakdown, Can't Find My Way Home and Twisted Tenderness.

Think everyone's a little mistaken that Quayle has remixed GIAUE whereas the info Nic has just states 'vocal mix'.

That discography of his includes tracks like Confusion and LWTUA but not all of that list appears to be remix work. Some of it is involvement with track production: programming, keyboards, etc.

Be great if you could get him in for a chat sometime Nic, he's got a pretty amazing resume. Let's hope we can keep it clean this time and show some respect.

this is interesting... maybe Mac's version pre-dates the Stuart Price version and is more "New Order-ly"... so it not a "remix" at all, but maybe it's just an earlier studio production version... then New order did the version with Stuart Price and decided to put that one on WFTSC.

Barney said in a interview that "Guilt" had a complicated or long history, or something to that effect... i'm too lazy to look up the quote

Continuing the chat with Mac Quayle:

My version is really another production of the song which I started with the band over in England last fall and finished here at my studio in LA. It was a great experience to work with them as I have been a big fan for 25 years and I would love for the New Order world to know that I am a producer on the album rather than just a remixer. Of course I would be more than happy to do an interview for the website and share some of my experiences in working on the record.

So if anyone has intelligent questions to ask, post them over, I'll relay them.
