I do it is great, and what a sleeve. The lyrics are sublime, and it compliments any live gig . it is ACE :thumb:

Because I was born negative and I'm not really a New Order fan. I just post here obsessively cause I have nothing else to do in my life.

Awww. listen to the beauty of New Order and follow me like a lost puppy, you know it makes sense.

Remember the Auto Cue is the the 5th member of New Order

I'm so sorry you took your effort to send me your New Order DVDs. I've never actually watched them. It was just an excuse for me to make friends with you.

Great song? Yes. Timeless? Yes. Way ahead of its time? Yes - perhaps more so than any other track, ever. Best song ever? No - I don't even think its the best NO track - never mind factoring in tracks from other bands.

I bought the tee-shirt does that count? I wore it to the Mondays gig recently and someone came up to me and said "Nice tee-shirt, mate". Oh no hang on, that was True Faith...

Good. So on the grounds that a complete stranger called me "mate" when I was wearing a different tee-shirt at another band's gig - MY VOTE IS CAST!

BM would be a great track but overused in all their compilations, it pisses me off. Like I hear AC/DC on a local rock radio station, if i hear them one more time i will grab my shotgun and blow up the radio. AC/DC should cover Blue monday.

It will always be a classic record. It doesn't need any more validation than that.

I actually prefer The Beach to the Blue Monday a-side.

Together, the two tracks make for a great 12" single, but there have been a few better.

I assume the question itself was posed in a slightly humorously-indulgient manner (Stairway To Heaven).

Is this thread the definition of facetious?

That's true.

I have not heard anything that changed music forever since Blue Monday.
