The question still remains: What will be on the U.S. versions of the Krafty single...I'm guessing and hoping some new as-yet-unseen versions....maybe something that will really be used for the dancefloor? I love the versions on the UK releases, but a vocal version with an anthemic club treatement is sorely missing....

i guess the singles will be here in Argentina (imported, of course) at the end of next week.. i´ll get you posted about it ;)

That's exactly what I was thinking. Shouldn't Reprise have the information on a US release out by now? Or do they want us (US fans) to purchase the UK release now and not the US release (which will hurt the US chart). :skeptic:

There is no US CD single. It's digital download only, from multiple sources.

See here for further details

As depthcharge said, I got the US information, but didn't get anything related to a Krafty US release...

But I'll ask the question just to be sure.

The Re-edit of album version is quite nice, done by Rich Costey (whoever he is?)

Still like the raw Andy Green mix best though.

Well at least that solves one anorak issue.

There are now officially ten known mixes/versions of Krafty.

Bernard's Re-edit (exclusive to Napster) end of March, is different to the Album Re-edit.

We'll all be able to sleep better at night knowing that.

The Glimmers 12" extended Mix is good as is the artwork but overall it still is not a winner IMO, hopefully it will grow.

so what, no DVD single ?

I will have to start my PC to see the video.

MOV, AVI, MPG ?

I hope it's not as crap as "Ive got a feeling" was on full screen mode!

Any day New Order release a new single is a special one IMO :thumb: and today is no exception despite the Krafty-haters on this board. Trundled down to HMV Edinburgh at about 11am and picked up my copy of CD1, CD2 and the 12". Always nice to have the vinyl copy for the larger artwork. Student discount included it cost me about 8 quid altogether so not too bad. I did consider buying an extra copy but I've never bought into that "let's get New Order to the top of the charts by buying 32 copies" malarkey :uhoh: My one copy of each format will have to do I'm afraid lads  I've had both the black/white promo CDs for a while now so I'm pretty familiar with the mixes. Glimmers mix is a bit lazy, more like a sparser "acoustic mix" of the overall song with some distorted bass thrown in for good measure. The Phones Reality remix is great, love that one. The only one I didn't have on the promos that's on the final CD singles was the "Re-edit of the album version". Not a massive departure, the nearest comparison I guess is Regret's "NewOrder mix" to the original Regret. That sort of vibe: synthy and dreamy with a funked up drum beat. The video's not spectacular but nor is it truly dire. Never really rated most of NO's videos anyway so that doesn't bother me.

Roll on the next single :thumb: anyway I'm late for uni so cyas.

Ally.

I'm just back form buying both cds and the 12". I was a bit dissapointed to see that despite the new uk chart allowances for 40 minutes of mixes on cd singles that the second cd is only 23 mins long. It could easily have included some of the dubs which now seem to be promo only.

The Riton mix has not been included on any of the formats, does anyone know where I can get it?

Phones mix sounds brilliant, and the re-edit was a plesant surprise.

It might be my ears, but i skipped to track 3 on the mixes CD expecting a remix-it just sounds like the radio edit to me?

Oh it's different... just not that different.

hi all,

it's the first time i can get their single on the first day they release it so i am so excited! :D i will go to the city centre and get my copies of three formats right after i finish my lecture later! yes!! ( sorry for being out of control ;))

one thing i don't understand is what spotnick said on the front page: "If you want to help New Order to achieve the best place in the UK singles chart, you should buy both singles one at the time so it counts for 2 sales." does that mean i have to buy my copies separately? i mean i will have to get three copies for myself and two for my friends! well, i never care about the chart thing so maybe i should just forget about it, but snice it's the first time i can contribute something in the first week so now i'm staggering...

mm.. got one more hour to consider. anyways i'm going to get the singles on the first day, yeah!!!

p.s. been quite busy these days so i haven't check the posts here regularly... will try my best to catch up during easter. :p

Riton Tyrone, Riton.

You'll only find it on the 5-track UK promo CD (the black version) or the 7-track AU promo CD. You'll also need Barney's Re-edit to complete the collection, but at this stage the only format you'll find it is a digital download from Napster later this month.

Call me a fool if you will but I think that the UK CD2 has the running order wrong.

The track labelled as "Re-edit of album version" IS NOT a re-edit! Track 3, (labelled as the "Andy Green remix",) sounds like a re-edit to me but track 4 is at least a remix. I would suggest that tracks 3 & 4 are the wrong way around! But, what do I know?

I've already bought 3 formats, they're not going to get me to fork out for a promo aswell! I don't use Napster, and don't really like the idea of setting up an account with them for the one track but it's probably going to happen.

Their was an advert for Krafty on Virgin Radio this morning.

Keep it locked for more groundbreaking journalism from Don.

Haha, I like it DoN :thumb:

Got all 3 versions. Vinyl's good for the collection.. hmm, phones reality mix is better than I remember on Radio 1. Anyway, class stuff, about 8 quid here too.

Sad to hear the track didn't get spectacular reviews, but I don't rate Krafty particularly compared to the rest of the album anyway. Roll on the title track, I hope it gains some serious momentum and gets number one or something - it deserves it. It not that we have to rely on J-E-T.. :eek3:

Bought all 3 formats.Cant be arsed hunting for promos with other mixes.Like the Glimmers mix out of all the remixes. And also am now actually liking the standard radio edit.Like the bit where Hooky accompanies the chimy bit.Did think the vid was very boring on first view weeks ago but i since gained a different perspective of it.It`s all about the jumping up and down on the roof after the love making.A joyous celebration of love and living.

Don`t like the font.I know it now ties in with the album lettering but i much prefered the original font.

Am i the only one who has noticed the artwork is actually in colour, not black & white!

My copy has been just delivered. Listening. :music:

Well I bought only CD2, since I found buying CD1 useless: almost the same version will be on the album; I don't need radio edits. My copy came to my mailbox just an hour ago.

[orange]1 : ARTWORK[/orange]

Well I was displeased a bit when I found out that 1) It's in color, but that would be OK if the design itself were not a little different; 2) The font and disposition of the titles is different. For a moment I thought it was a counterfeit copy.

2 : MIXES

EdSpess is correct. Track 3 is actually the re-edit, while track 4 is a remix. The Glimmers 12" extended mix could have been more inventive, but it's ok. Phones Reality remix is as crap as that of the 60 Miles An Hour remix.

3 : VIDEO

I'm surprised at myself - I found myself amused by the video. It's not that as bad as I used to think.

So far it's an ok single. But the song itself is great!

I said to US Warner they should put it on their CD, as it's not anywhere... :D

Let's wait and see. I also said to them they should put the True Faith 2001 remixes as well :evil4:

That's what most people in here said.. if you buy the 2 CDs at once, it count as one sale only... so buy buying one... and buying the other one later, it counts as 2 sales...

Don't even get me started on this stupid thing ;)

No, the Andy Green remix is not the album re-edit... it's the right one, as it's been on the promos...

I admit that's I wouldn't call that a re-edit though... because it's sounds like somebody played with the loops! I was a bit surprised when I heard it this morning.

I have one question.

Is there a difference between the Single mix and the album re edit?
