"D3 – Working Overtime" ???

D being the record letter (4x vinyl: ABCD) and 3 being the track number. The songs are pretty long on Sirens so I guess they decided to squeeze only 1-2 each side.

Hope there's some decent art within.

From 101cd.com newsletter :

"The vinyl edition will be released on no less than four 12" singles in a double gatefold sleeve, ensuring maximum audio quality for all you retro-loving vinyl junkies!"

Did someone call my name?

Now this might actually be worth getting... just for the sleeve itself... (not that the artwork is good)

So the 10 copies I should have to give away will be quite interesting ;)

Are they mastered at 45RPM? (fingers crossed)

I love Vinyl

12 inches? I'm not having that! How are you going to get that into your cd player?

Joking apart, I have ordered a copy despite not, at the moment, owning a working record player. Something has gone from record buying now that the 12" format has been superseded. Factory (amongst others) turned out wonderful things that felt great in your hand and looked good on your wall. Nobody wil make massive amounts of money from the numbers they will sell in this format, so  to whoever decided to do this for us.

How DIVINE

i just ordered one!

i'd imagine it HAS to be 45 RPM, if it was 4 LPs but only played at 33 that'd be an enormous waste of extra vinyl. the grooves are going to be gigantic

Ive got a record deck in me kitchen but hadnt used it for ages til yesterday when i brought home the lovely Krafty 12".But the needle is fcukd and it plays a bit too fast.Bernard sounds almost on helium:evil4: .BUT I MAY GRAB THIS 4X12" ALBUM SET ANYHOWS.

Something tells me that "D3" refers to the second side of the 2nd record. Still worth getting, but I'm not expecting 4 slabs of vinyl, just 2.

2 LPs makes a lot more sense. the last radiohead album came out on a double LP, both of which played at 45 RPM, and WFTSC definitely isnt twice as long as that album. but hey, if they want to go and put it on 4 with really huge grooves, the sound quality will be amazing and the packaging could be really cool. most likely it'll be 2, though

if Working Overtime is D3, it's only a double vinyl release. No way it's going to be 4 pieces.

If i was a cynical bastard, I'd recommend that you purchase ten of these, wait 6 months, then put 9 of them on Ebay and make a 2000% profit, but no one is that cynical are they? (10 copies just winging their way to me..)

No... actually, I ordered one and one only. I'm a dumbass with very little spare cash :(
