Nice thought tho' - like Steve could be out in the Studio pretending to work on a mix, while laughing at us all getting so exited about the album/gigs.
or Gillian could be in the farmhouse minding the kids (like me) looking up posts about her & thinking 'PERVS, the lot of 'em!'
I read a little while ago that they don't visit fan sites.. but their management and the label do! and Hooky's son too.
Don't think he does more than checking it up, but who knows...

That's why I came down so hard on him, because I know he is used to our abuse.
Not that I know for certain of course but I'm sure the members of the band drop by occasionally and skim through the forums. Judging from the type of people they are they probably find it highly amusing the variety and sometimes sheer absurdity of topics we discuss here 
I agree with oldMonkey that it's no coincidence certain things have appeared, like the Retro bonus disc mostly thanks to the forums here (maybe at WIM too, I don't really follow them) I remember when the tracklistings for the boxset leaked out and there was bitter disappointment on this forum regarding the complete lack of rarities included. Most people here could've compiled the first three discs from their collection; the first two certainly were a piece of piss to assemble for any fan with all the albums in their collection.
It goes without saying New Order owe this site quite alot and Nic obviously does a sterling job 
Hope he'll get some recognition for his hard work at some point but for now the management seem content to use him as a gratis information service. They should at the very least help him out with bandwidth/server costs so he doesn't have to worry about the site constantly going down every now and then.

OF COURSE they are reading this site! You don't have too many New Order related sites on the net, and this one is the most active of them all. Curiosity has certainly brought them here quite a few times I'm sure.

The Retro bonus disc is really because of NewOrderOnline's forums.. that's a fact.
Although the full story is that Andy Robinson (New Order's co-manager) asked Jonathan Scott what was the reaction on the internet.. and Jonathan told him what everybody else though, and this is the counter-attack and the 5th disc was included.
I might have the full story in May, but I can assure you that the management, at least, is very aware of this website...
I know Hooky uses the internet, Stephen always been the computer guy, so he's probably doing it too... but I have serious doubts Barney is doing it though...
