I was trying to do a list of New Order tracks that were co-written with people outside the band: 1)Arthur Baker: -Confusion -Thieves Like Us -Let's Go / Nothing For Me 2)Stephen Hague: -True Faith -1963 -Regret -Spooky -Liar -Chemical -Special 3)John Robie: -Shellshock 4)Keith Allen: -World In Motion
Did I forget any track? Any help will be apreciated!

Where did you see that? I've checked '(the best of) New Order' and it has TBTHOG and Thieves Like Us but only Thieves Like Us is credited as being "written by NO & Arthur Baker". As far as TBTHOG was produced by him and not in fact co-written...
Here's one that may even be uncredidted. The Subculture 12" by John Robie, they did change one line.

Co-written, at least these ones are credited in official releases. A list of co-produced tracks would be very much longer.

Vinyl copy of the album has a writing credit for Baker on Touched, not sure about the CD.
It's strange that (the best of) cd does have Touched on it but it only credits Thieves Like Us as "Written by New Order & Arthur Baker". Is there any lyric difference between the versions of that track or is it a mistake on the credits?

What about Billy corgans writing contibutions to Get Ready? Was it only on "Turn My Way"...or did he contribute to other tracks as well??
You could also add 'Ceremony' and 'In A Lonely Place' if you were being pedantic... others 'outside New Order'...
I thought Billy Corgan just came in to sing what Sumner had already penned???
What a horrible song, by the way. Makes me cringe. And I am a fan of Corgan, respect him. But god that song is crap.
If it is true that Corgan helped pen it, I may lose some respect for Corgan and gain some for new order, being able to blame someone outside the band for such a bad egg....
I think the main problem is they never got the vocal mix balanced quite right. They both sound like they are doing backing.... it really should have been left off the lp, made into a b-side, but I bet they were worried about pissing off Corgan or something... (worried not that Corgan would be mad, but that it would be a rude thing to do after having him take time to work with them...)
I thought Hague produced Republic and wrote quite a bit of it with Sumner, but was not aware he had such a great hand in Regret... that seems too guitary for him...
the problem with this type of list is that there is a huge grey area between coproduce, produce, and cowrite... when bands are in studios, nothing is that clear usually, where ideas come from, how they are implemented, etc...
it IS more clear when a band walks into a studio with material already all penned in their own rehearsal studio (and sometimes even demo tracked even) - but with new order, they usually showed up in studios with nothing really, take their time, have a few ideas that are then fleshed out by Baker or Hague, etc....
often there are no obvious ways to determine just how much help they got. and no way to ever discern the truth, as everyone has a different take on it... Hook may think his bassline made the song come together, or Morris may say his sequencer line was the inspiration, or Sumner may think his lyrics made the song work... or Hague may feel that his production, his ideas to lengthen a chorus, chop off a verse, were what made the song publishable....
but I do admire you for compiling all this and trying! very interesting.... makes you realize just how much goes into putting together these lps...

Here in my Get Ready album I just read "special guest vocals Billy Corgan". It says before anything: "Written by New Order" (for all the tracks) - no credit for anyone outside the band.

Yes, you're right. If you consider JD as being "other band" they are technically "cover versions". Although those 2 songs weren't in fact released as JD (only demos), were they? And we can count on the cover category also "Vietnam".
please do not mention 'Vietnam' - I have repressed that song from my memory and spent a lot of hardearned money on a hypnotist to delete it from my brain....

I like it (that which should not be mentioned)...
Turn My Way is a good track, I think Corgon is a better person to collaborate with than say... a certain recent collaboration.
