Single Of The Week New Order ‘Krafty’ (London)
NP: Perhaps more influential now than ever the Manchester band return with another typical New Order moment. Shockingly bad lyrics delivered in Bernard Summner’s inimitable style fail to spoil this song as a quintessentially Hooky bassline plus all the usual electronic bleeps and tics and Stephen Morris’s much imitated drumming. Melodically uplifting, it’s great that they’re still around making music like this.
