Solved- I VESSEL THIUCK. Thiuck is the icelandic word for shit and sewage. In the 1600s there were people whose jobs it was to get rid of all the human waste and excrement and dispose of it away from the village where people could get sick from it. This was such a horrible job that the bearers of this responsibility were very highly regarded and admired in their communities (though no one stood too close). Using the word vessel as a verb conveyed that it was the person's job to not only move the excrement but also to put into safe containers so that the waste would not contaminate the village's water supply.
By coincidence, Hooky and Barney can trace part of their lineages to Iceland where both of their families were involved for many generations in this honored and esteemed occupation.

Honestly Iain - yer sense of humour has improved dramatically, I blame myself - anyone who converses with me for too long - tends to get in the habit of talking pure shite but it certainly makes for funny viewing
As for Marty - he's becoming a bit disulusioned with life in general again - hopefully he'll snap out of it and get back to normal - along with myself (obviously) he's one of the fore-runners of speaking absolute gibberish
