Actually NEW ORDER had another singer, it's Peter Hook, the bassist. He sings on Movement 2 songs.
But what you are referring to is Joy Division, that was 4 guys, lead singer Ian Curtis killed himself and then they created New Order and Stephen Morris's (the drummer) girlfriend joined the band in New Order.
So they were never 5...
