eric kupper is decent but DJ Dan is a moron who makes music/dj's for morons.

spotnick, it says its the Riton Re-RUB and not Re-DUB. probably a different mix altogether.

Well, they did send me the news with that typo in ;)

But it will be the Re-Dub.

Nice, would've preferred if the single was available to buy before the album, but what the hey.

All Riton mixes are Re-Rubs (ie. labelled "Riton Re-Rub"). Riton "Re-Dub" is a typo, right from the start.

Damn... why did I buy the UK single... :( It's just waste of money. Kinda upset that Warner USA promote so slowly... I'd better wait to buy the US one instead of spending $ 12 on the UK one with 4 remixes....

The homepage of NOOL says March 3rd.

The cynic would suggest it was no accident that the US single tracklisting was released two weeks after a UK launch which would've made buying their version redundant. The diehard international fanbase now has to buy more copies of it!

Can't wait until Mr Discography lays his eyes on not one, not two but three new mixes of the track. He was foaming at the mouth after the 7th mix came along.

Put me down for one.

Good to know, so the typo is on the UK promo.... :skeptic:

For the people attending the Chicago gig, it's the same date as this release, I *might* have promos to give away at the evening.

Might, because we don't have them yet, but I have an agreement.

Just for the record Nic, the single WFTSC is expected in August.

Funny... I still don't get why they decided to release Jetstream before it...

I'd expect one reason would've been that the Scissor Sisters are hot right now with the kids. Warner want a piece of that heat while they can.

Also, some have pointed out some similarities stylistically between Krafty and WFTSC. Better to have a completely different tune separating them as singles.

I don't believe at all in Krafty's potential in the US charts though...

Seriously... Guilt is probably the one that COULD do something in the US... sadly.

Can't help but think the US charts are always going to be a lost cause for New Order. Look at their Top Ten, it inhabits a different musical universe.

Nic, any news on all of these competitions? Do you have some goodies to give away yet?

Remixes of this are only slightly more imaginable than remixes of Turn.

Yes, I'm waiting to receive my package from France, and we're good to go.

I'm piecing together an interesting profile on you now Pastie. Your favourite New Order moments speak volumes.

LMA, WFTSC, Turn and that "Ten foot high grass" line in CR are some of the most bittersweet melancholic NO moments you can find anywhere. Very interesting.

What was your relationship like with your father?

Nice.

Will there be any element of skill necessary to win or just a lucky dip situation?

That's a somewhat personal question, DC, but seeing that it is you, I will answer seriously. My father died when I was very small. So basically, to use President Clinton's turn of phrase, there is no relationship. Except the biological one of course.

Well don't I feel like the biggest jackass on earth.

My humblest apologies P, my amateur hour psychobabble sees me beat the hastiest of retreats.

Funnily enough Seb Briggs and I also agreed on that line being the high point of Get Ready, If I recall correctly.

There's no need to feel that way, DC. It's not as though it was a recent loss. In any event, though, your apology is of course accepted.

To return to the music though, you are quite correct in your assessment that the melancholy moments seem to me more valued than the cheerful ones. It somehow seems like an easier task to write a cheerful song than one that makes the tears flow. But perhaps that's just me.
