Actually it's not... you can compare it to Jetstream, I think it would be fair.
Hooky's bass is really good on it, but Bernard is way to much low in the mix, in fact you don't even notice his backing vocals.
I think there is a clip online here.
Gwen apologised that a lot of their contribution had been left out - release the song with a 'NEWorder mix' b-side![]()
Whatever happened to her strange band of merry thieves that formed 'No Doubt'? -
where do they all go hey, where do they go ...

They will be back... Gwen didn't write a single thing on her solo album, she's keeping her compositions for the next No Doubt album.
She's the american Martin Gore ;)

Counterfeit and Counterfeit 2...
None of these albums contain original material, he keeps it all for Depeche Mode.

Not a good sign for Depish then.....at least musically. Lounge music forever!
Oh, and Gwen should release it as a single for sure, so that way I can buy it without having to get her full album.
The Real Thing is better than Jetstream - perhaps it should be New Order's next single instead. :P

*I'm afraid there isn't. Please tell me where it is if exists... very curious to hear it but never had the chance...

I will put a clip on tonight... you can listen to it on http://www.gwenstefani.com
(Yeah, I did a spelling mistake on the title here)
Mr. Dumont's recording and hopefully soon releasing a solo album. Mr. Young is touring with various bands (I think one of them is Bow Wow Wow) and Mr. Kanal helped to produce some of Gwen's solo material - not sure what he's doing. It'll be a whiile when and if the band gets back together.
on edit - and yeah, I think she should release it. Probably the only decent song on the album.

Ah, Hall & Oates. That takes me back.
I've listened to this tune about 20 times a few months back, and did not hear even a whisper of Barney. Or maybe a few too many times listening to BLT at volume=11 has left my hearing a bit....shot.
But yes, release it. Do it. ![]()
i think she should release it as a single ,it would do well.
apparently a lot of the new order contribution was mixed out by the producer hence why barney is so low down on the mix but its deffo him on guitar as well.
and while we are at it ive got this album and its choc full of (80s)new orderisms on several tracks,so much so you would think its actually them doing backing tracks for gwen.
It's not in the media files, it's in the discography.
Here it is:

And hum, I did a 2nd clip, here it is:

At least you got the chorus this time.
Wow Nic, thank you very much! ![]()
Couldn't find it on her site, but at least I could hear it here and it sounds great!
What a shame I can't have I Tunes (still on Win 98 since my old PC wouldn't support XP), if I had it I'd buy the track, while I'm not sure I want to buy the CD just for that track (never spent 20 Euros for a single)... I don't think I'd like the other songs, but here it's virtually New Order at the height of World In Motion with a guest singer!
I really like the keyboard in the base and Hooky's bass, so simple and touching like in his best moments... not sure the chorus is as good as the verse, but it's still a great song and if it's released as a single I'll certainly buy it...
Update: had the, cough, "opportunity to hear it all" and it's absolutely brilliant! ![]()
OK the chorus is a bit cheesy just like Guilt, especially with her second rate Madonna voice, but it's still a great song, I actually would like to see it reworked, played and sung by New Order only for a B side...
Alright, release the fookin single and I promise to buy it!
