What do you goys think of the Smashing Pumpkins' versions of Isolation and Transmission. I love their version of Isolation, and their version of Transmission was utterly supurb live, but i think its really just more of a jam with a few lines of Transmission thrown in here and there for good measure, ive got one recording of it where there is a 5 minute intro before the 1st verse.

Isolation was actually done by 'Starchildren', a Billy Corgan side project, but I agree it's pretty interesting. He really makes the song his own, and avoids just replaying what JD created.

I actually have a 25-30 minute version of Transmission, performed at (I believe) a concert in Atlanta. You're right: it's just a Smashing Pumpkins jam with a few lines of Transmission (not even the riff) thrown in. I can't remember, but there are lines from other songs sung as well...

Have you heard Low's cover of Transmission? The first two minutes are really spectacular, they take the song to a very different place.
