OK, so I got it wrong. I've already admitted that on these very pages. Yes - the 'other' promo I got is indeed a premix. It was just the fact that it surfaced after the originally leaked version that made me believe it should have been placed higher up the food chain. Some did try to set me straight - maybe even you dc. My Mrs always tells me that I never listen...

And yes Al - I preferred the alternate Working Overtime. And the alternate Jetstream although I'm resigning myself to being alone on that one.

I was sent the downloaded version ages ago by a kind soul, because I failed to do it myself  :\ohwell:   ordered the official cd from Amazon, should be here anyday now.

Just like the technically deficeint dinosaur hunter, i also received a 'burnt' copy early doors. I did tho' go and buy it the other day from Tesco - Colney Hatch ( also picked up GR for a fiver), i also managed to get hold of Krafty 12" (mmmmmmh vinyl) from HMV in Brent X

Hardly think I was missing the sentiment of anything, how much news coverage do you think it's had down this way in the past few days? It's tragic for sure. But as someone who resides in the area of the world the band plied their trade, I'm just pointing out to others that they are not generally considered a New Zealand band. Not Australian either. Normally the term used is 'Australasian'. Two thirds of the standard line-up aren't Kiwis - in fact the original line-up had three Aussies and one Kiwi, they formed in Australia, developed here and first rose to prominence here. Even a Kiwi will admit as much!

I 'found' the album as quickly as I could. I had to search quite a bit, but after all you bastards started gloating about it, it became my quest.

Shared a few tracks with friends, but in general, I didn't pass it on.

My Japanese copy just arrived (spinning right now), My UK copy should be here in a couple days, and I'll get the US version at my local CD shop.

I cannot believe it!No NEW ORDER VINYL in BOLTON today.But i bought the CD,the NEW ORDER in BIG ISSUE and NEW ORDER in MANCHESTER'S City Life.HAd a few pints of KRONENBERG whilst reading said MAGS.Now i must get my arse to MANCHESTER soon for the VINYL.What a dull life on the Rock 'N' Roll.

Honestly, I have not illegally downloaded the new lp. I have not a clue where to do this and no one offered. I'll wait for the chance to purchase it. Even if I would have illegally dled it I want the real thing.

I bought my copy at 'HMV' in Newcastle City Centre on Monday for £12.99. I hadn't downloaded it previously because i'm crap with technology, so wouldn't have even attempted.

Anyway, as I walked in they had one of the tracks playing over the loudspeakers which turned out to be 'Guilt is A Useless Emotion', although I didn't know it at the time. This one had an 'immediate' impact on me - I loved it straight away - and it made me a bit more optimistic about what was still to come.

I listened to the album loads on Monday and I've got to say, I absolutely love it. My intant favourites were 'Waiting for The Sirens' Call', which is just sublime and the mighty 'Turn' which also sent shivers down my spine, a reaction that I didn't have to any of the tracks on Get Ready although I liked the album. The other track that I absolutely loved straight away was 'Morning, Night and Day'-great stuff. This one, 'Guilt is A Useless Emotion' and 'Dracula's Castle'were played none stop as I was getting ready to go out the other night and they sounded even better after a few drinks and put me right in the mood for a good night out, always a good sign for with me

I don't think I fully appreciated 'Who's Joe?' and 'Hey Now What You Doing' on first listen but both of these have grown on me a lot since and they're up there with the best for me now.

I had already heard a couple of the songs,'Krafty', obviously, and 'I Told You So' before getting the album. I can understand why 'Krafty' was released first as it's one that sticks in your mind on first listen and, although having heard the album I think there are stronger tracks on there, I still think this is beautiful tune and really summery. It gives me a warm feeling whenever I hear it. I first heard 'I Told You So' on the NME CD and wasn't really fussed on it but this is now starting to grow on me, which means it'll probably end up a favourite. Bits of it sound like 'Brutal' to me, but that's probably just my ears.

This only leaves 'Working Overtime' and 'Jetstream'(unless I've completely omitted something). I've listened to the album loads this week and these are the only two that haven't really struck me yet. I think the vocals on the album are great in general but I don't think Barney's voice suits 'Working Overtime' and i'm really not that fussed on 'Jetstream'.

This aside though, I really do love this album and I think there's pretty much something for everyone on there. I also think the order the tracks run in works really well. I honestly feel that WFTSC is so much more than we could ever have hoped for and I feel lucky to have it. I can see already it's going to form the soundtrack to my summer

don't know how long you're having to wait for the real thing. if you want the download I might be able to help. received my proper copy two days ago, and to be honest I'm quite disappointed because the downloads are really the proper finished versions. I was hoping for some differences

Err... four for me. I pre-ordered it from Amazon.co.uk, and also the vinyl copy. Then I got drunk one night and ordered the import that may have an extra track and different sleeve from Amazon.com. I was passing through Paris on the way home from my holiday and I bought a copy to listen to on the flight home! Wouldn't have bothered with that one if I'd known that the mixing was exacly the same as the mp3s I already had!

My sirens (ordered from the UK Amazon) arrived earlier today. :)

I'm still waiting for mine...amazon.usa.bleech...

Japanese version arrived Monday, April 4th via The Ideal Copy. 75 minutes, 32 seconds long and crystal clear. The Japanese vocals on Krafty are truly bizarre.

Downloaded it - ilegally, yes I confess - in early February (following a clue given by a very good friend...), bought it last week - monday the 28th, to be more acurate - in a special "free CD-single" package!
