Who plans to be posting Christmas Day? I'll probably pop by for a few hours at least, Internet junkie that I am. How many more are so hooked they'll forfeit friends and family for a quick drvie on the information superhighway?

I guess not since i do all my posting at work.... and as of next friday its a two week holiday. Though i am trying to be here december 30 it was i think to record the Berlin gig that is being broadcasted then. Actually i do not think i'll make it through these two weeks without visiting this here forum.

As I am not a big fan of the whole Christmas thing I have been able to limit the family/friends get-together to what we in Holland call 'second xmas day', the 26th. So yes, very likely I will be posting on the 25th!

I imagine I'll pop by more becuase once you've done the "unwrapping gifts" thing, Xmas is frigging boring. Let's face it, not one decent holiday movie, bar the old Grinch and Rudolph (more for comedic appeal than actual quality), are shown, everything's closed, so there's nothing else to do (unless I get that DVD player...)

no holiday movies in the states???? Come to holland friend, Thats one thing that is ok, the amount of movies on telly!!

no, there are plenty of holiday movies, they just all suck...

TNT ruined "A Christmas Story" for me (the one where the kid wants the BB gun). They show it all freaking day, I don't care who you are, twenty four hours of that gets old....

Dutch television has 'Life of Brian' on the 25th

spending time on here would be infinitely preferable to spending time with my family, so yes, i'll probably end up posting here on christmas day too.

I know it's only a week away but at this point in time the very last thing I've got on my mind is Christmas bloody Day (even though my younger sister turns 34 on that day).

I've more pressing things on my plate - like trying to stay sane and alive and hopefully fit and happy (um.....a somewhat "contentious phrase" there , don't you think, Taboo?) enough to be able to still be chatting to you guys come the new year.

I think everybody should pop in on Christmas Day just to say hello ! I'll spend most of the day online if I have any say in matters ! There's only so much family stuff that a guy can take after all.....

I'll be at my girl's parents where there's no Internet, so...

I'll be there - probably slightly pissed - but I'll be there:lol:

Oh, I'll definitely check in on the evening of Xmas day. Tuesday is a day I show up to work at 5 a.m., so for that 4 day work week, Wednesday the 26th will now be our Tuesday, which means that I can exit the family about 7 or so for an hour or two of surfing.

i dont do christmas, neither do my family, so dont have to put on that "were ever so happy" charade, thank fuck. ill probably end up spending half of christmas day fighting with my shithead siblings about who gets to use the computer, as well all be desperate to escape the nasty telly programmes...so yeah ill probably be posting.

I'm sure I'll stop by to say "Merry Christmas". I love my folks and even like my in-laws, but I'll need some "me" time.

:hi:

I'm sure I'll be here...I can't stay away...not even for a day...unless I'm on vacation, and can't find a computer...or out of town...

New years eve, on the other hand, is a totally different matter...takes weeks of careful planning of where to go and what to drink...I will be that rat-arsed NYE I will be amazed if I make it to this lovely place...probably one of the only days of the year I actually look forward to:nod:
