I just recieved a Warner/Reprise newsletter with a link to the below site, which states a website coming soon, and also lists Neworderonline.com as a fan site. I thought they were not doing an official website. :confused2:

Apparently so, it lists the US release date. Apparently Reprise has decided WFTSC may have some potential in the US market after all.

Hey, looks very cool!

That image is the one in the booklet I really like... would have been a great cover for the album too...

It's just weird they keep doing these different sites for America and Germany (and none for England!).

Couldn't we have one worldwide site like any other decnt band on the planet?

The design is inspired by the table of the chemical elements... I also thought the way the "No" appears on the cover was inspired by that...

Now the question is how does the periodic table fit in with WFTSC as a version of The Odyssey/Ulysses? I'm not disagreeing about the periodic table; that aspect is clearly there, particularly on the cover itself with the combination of upper case and lower case.

Now this maybe would have been an even cooler artwork: imagine that orange "No" inserted into a part of a real periodic table with all the other elements in grey... anyway it's also wonderful as it is...

Well I think it's even better - to have various "official" websites - more interesting for us :). The U.S. one promises to be a good one. As for the "chemical" design... I reckon the idea is neat, but it looks like it was carried out halfway: there is No, but no numbers that would perfectly represent this unknown element :)

It's redirected to http://www.newordergetready.com but they didn't renew the domain and someone snatched it up.

It does seem like they are not getting the type of promotion in the UK that they have in the past. No website, and according to Spotnick, he is having a hard time getting promo releases from Warner UK. I thought that WFTSC was to be released on Warner proper and not on London Records. Does London Records still exist, or is it just a name being used by Warners. :scratch:

Just a name used by Warner....

And btw, I'm talking to 3 people at Warner UK, one of them sent us the Krafty singles to give away, but nobody sent me a promo there.. all the prom I got are from New Order's public relation company, Press Counsel... and the 2 they sent me were lost in the mail for some reason :(

WFTSC US version is on the Warner Brothers label, but UK version is London. Krafty single are London Records, but London is a WARNER MUSIC GROUP company. WB lists New Order as one of their artists and WB is putting up the official website. While I don't know all the corporate affiliations, it would appear that WB is running the show and London is simply a means to an end, that being distribution in the UK.

I'm looking forward to the "official" website and hope they put some nice content there. It would be nice to have one official website for the band.

The official websites that works have people working for it. Most New Order websites only had content that changed once per 3 months with the release of a new single.

Hence why it will never work... it would need people to put time in it and an input from the band themselves..

Hence why the only popular website is this one... Sebastien & I spent a lot of our time bringing it to life and making those forums popular, WenOrder helped a lot on the design and we got what we got.

The only "thing" is that there are NO fan or official site in the UK, all these are from USA or Canada... fortunatly I have teamed up with people around the world for this site ;)

now, it´s the first time i look at the "No" with this perspective. now it seems so obvious for me, why none of us saw that comming?

neworder.cc looks beautifull indeed. :clap: Modern but still very fresh and a bit unique too. They've used the WFTSC -theme colours and design nicely. I mean in the way I see things when I'm not heard the album nor seen anything than some "unofficial" photos of the "possible" artwork. Isn't that the real purpose of the site; to make people, who are a bit reluctant to own the album, want to buy it?

And by the way, it even has the link (very well shown in the front) of the best newORDER -site on the net right now. And yes, it's the first one of the two, OF COURSE ;)

*It was one of the first things I noticed, and I've written about it at the time... but someone wrote that they should have placed some number too, to make it more similar to the true table, and that's what the most of us thought and why we thought more at other aspects, like the meaning of the "No", or wether it wuold have been just a layer wrapping something else etc.
