A simple exercise...pick your 11 favorite songs from NO's studio efforts of the last five years in the running order you would want them in...no remixes allowed (which won't be hard for most of us).

I'll have to wait as well; at this stage - thanks to radio i've heard 6 of the songs on wftsc but not enough to rate them (except krafty of course - which i dont rate anyway)

Being a bit thick here. Is this, like, a top 10 (well, 11 in this case), or a genuine free-flowing running order of simply how we'd like to say our favourite 11 linked together, much in the same way as, perhaps, a gig format?

I've only heard 'Krafty' from the new album so far. It would be in the top 11 right now, but I'm killing myself waiting for the official release to hear the rest of the new.. Zip it! [:#]

I know the rules said no remixes, but a Radio Edit is technically just a 7" version and we all know how many people on this board prefer the Ceremony 7" to the 12" :evil4: I like the fact straight after one of New Order's best ever opening tracks "Hey Joe" it goes straight into Crystal Edit's intense drum riff rather than the synthy doodle-y intro on the album version. Also, I think the original Steve Osborne mix of Run Wild is better than the Barney LP one. I think it also should escape the remix rule because it was the "original" version ;) IMO the dreamier production is superior and sounds better overall as a lead off track.

We basically had two albums to choose from and god knows GR has alot of patchy stuff on it. I'm quite pleased with the running order of that tracklisting actually, the new LP holds it's own very well next to GR's stuff considering it's not even in the shops yet! I really enjoyed "Such A Good Thing" too and if we were allowed twelve tracks I would wedge it between Primitive Notion and Sabotage. A perfect poppy song to break up those two darker ones (Sabotage is vastly underrated incidentally).

Such a Good Thing almost made the cut. Other contenders were Behind Closed Doors, Run Wild, Vicious Streak & I Told You So.

I'd done something similar after first hearing 'wftsc' ,where i pieced together the best tracks since get ready. this compilation is all that i listen to now! It sure exposes the fact that these boys still have alot of talent
