Gillian on the title track??!

Alright, I know it's very unlikely, but still let's try to know more...

Every backing vocalist is credited on the album, except the one for the title track.

Now I have my theory: when they were working on the album at Steve's house Gillian was there at the moment of doing the backing vocals for the title track and she sang (the voice really sounds like her).

Those vocals were so good they decided to keep it on the following recordings.

They also decided not to credit her because it would have been like crediting someone who is not part of the band and, somehow, Gillian is not a true active member of New Order, but she never really left the band, you can't count her as a session vocalist... she's still a New Order member, maybe the new fifth member...

Please anyone with contacts with the band or management, or anyone meeting them at gigs ask about this, because I'll be probably wrong (maybe she's someone else and they just forgot the credits), but I'd like to know anyway...

I’m pretty sure of this too, and said it a few weeks back. Sounds like the backing vocals from “Republic”, which I gather is her (I’ve never got round to finding any “02” albums).

I got my CD today (just had to mention that again!   ) & I'v listened to the title track 3 times in a row, but I'm not convinced its her.  Its too low in the mix to figure out

female vocals on wftsc??? either ive got a different mix or im going deaf cos i cant hear any female vocal anywhere on the track?

Muffy indicated that he had it on good authority that there would be some hidden extra on the album, of a "multi-media" variety.

I'm sorry, no extra stuff on the European edition, please let us know if there's anything on the others.

Exploring the CD you just have 11 .cda files (glad there's no anti-copy bullshit), unless the Easter egg is a sort of plug to cddb.com... a window opened and asked me if it was Waiting For The Sirens Call or if I needed more search and I accepted the result... I haven't understood this thing, I mean, of course I know the CD I'm hearing without them telling me...

I have as well, so if everyone does it will get picked as a question. the other question I asked was does "is that really a flute" only contain woodwind instruments. I heard on the MTV interview that Steve has been experimenting with flutes as drumsticks, ut I expect that would be cheating

Hmmm....I'll have to listen to it again now (not that I need another reason to). If it is Gillian, then the song gets big bonus points.
