Originally thought it was embarrassing and the worst thing that they've ever done. Inow think it's a fantastic song...I suggest anyone who still dislikes it gives it another try.

This is a fantastic album. I hesitate to say it, but I honestly think this is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

Will never change my mind about Guilt though

I just thought the same thing about Guilt...!

Then I had another listen, and I won't say I think it's good, but I thought " well, it's not that bad".

So who knows?

Just need to work on Working Overtime.

Just not your type of music, simply. I know almanso hates it, he said he's not into that type of music anymore.

If you don't like dance music, it's likely you won't like that one, it's the potential club hit of the album.. give this one to good remixes and I predict another #1 in the Billboard's club chart...

I hated it at first, because of those backing vocals.. but after a while, it grows on you...

You can compare this easily to WORLD from Republic.. so now imagine a Perfecto remix of it ;)

True. Never really cared for World. The weird thing is I've never had a problem with Jetstream but I can see you lot are not so fond of it.

I just wanna buy it, if we could buy it now, I just wanna buy it, if we could buy it now how long will it last if I just wanna buy it now, real love can be bought, that's the price of love.

I think World is pretty good, at least it makes an attempt to carry a melody.

how dare you not like guilt :p but its all down to personall taste really,i really like guilt but think hey joe is pants ,but others in ere love hey joe.

this must be a good album if its stiring up such wide opinions over its content.

Exactly, I mean I don't find Turn all that great either but I can listen through it with no problem, just like Guilt or anything on the second half of Republic (except Times Change).

I'm with you. I don't like, "Hey Joe," at all, but I like Guilt, as well, sure it's a cotton candy song, but it's a nice cotton candy song, like Andrea True's "More, More, More," it isn't pretending to be True Faith, or Thieves, or Vanishing Point, but it is a fun piece of cotton candy. Jetstream is okay, but for some reason, I cannot shake the image of Judas Priest's, "Turbo Lover," everytime I hear it, which is really ruining it for me.

My mind will never change on Jetstream. I can't stand any part of it. I'm sure it will make for great fodder on pop radio. As for Guilt, I like the verses, but that cringe-worthy chorus just kills it for me. Delete the chorus and female back-ups, and I'd like the song a lot more.

"Guilt is a useless emotion" is the best thing on the album (with the title track running an imperceptibly close second).

"Jetstream" is an abortion.

These are the facts. Kisses!

Really like "Turn New Drum" a lot...

Thought the same thing about Guilt until I heard the Mac Quayle take on it. Still think Jetstream and Guilt are the two weakest moments on the album but if they'd given us the Mac Quayle Guilt and Richard X Jetstream instead it would've been a different proposition!!

Wonder if there's an uber-mix of Dracula's Castle knocking around somewhere too?!?! :eek3:

You may like the finished version then - Turn "New Drum" was just that, a take on Turn with a slightly different drum pattern.

Yep this TOTALLY sounded like a PSB/Kylie mess.

Well, that "Jetstream"-liveversion from Canal+ sounds pretty good to my ears! Could work!

Nah! They're both great!

Jetstream is going to be huge. If Guilt...is released as the third single, I reckon that will be massive too. Just the remixes alone of either track could slay them in the clubs and that's a big market these days, especially in the states. Astute move, chaps.

I won't change my mind that "Jetstream" is the weakest song of the new album. I don't hate it, but I still don't like it. I hope the remixes will make it better.

Personally, I don't like ANY songs that involve SPELLING. Also, the way the video is being described, that doesn't look that promising either :eek3:

I reckon Jetstream could be their best chance for a big commercial hit since WIM.

Wouldn't mind it, the song deserves to be played. Bit embarrassing and un-Neworderish as it is, it's still catchy as hell. (and hey, you could say the same about WIM...)

I like Jetstream. Bernard and Ana Matronic's voices sound good together.

And that "da da da" part is really catchy.

Well, I like it, so you can always ask me to marry you.

It's that gay disco connection. :evil4:

off the bat, i wasn't in love with it, but it snuck up on me and now it's a favorite - the music most of all, the lyrics are pop and not so much on the side of anything deeper then that, s'alright - i won't play it at my wedding (or WOULD I??), but it's great for the car, the treadmill and cleaning up around the house:music:

As I get older I realise its more and more important to have a bit of fun now and then. Hence I like Jetstream and Guilt.

I personally hate Jetstream. I just can't stand the chorus! "J-E-T..." IT'S JUST NOT NEW ORDER! Any other band, fine. New Order, no. Guilt is great apart from the "I need yer love" stuff. Again, it's not New Order.

I think they should have released Who's Joe as a single (damn good song) or Dracula's Castle. Jetstream is a bad, bad choice.

Yes... Jetstream is the worst song i ever heard from new order. Without this song the Album was much better.

I don't dislike Jetstream but I still think it's the weakest on the album. I can understand why they released it, because it's got chart potential, but it's a bit cheesy. That means the whole of the UK will probably love it

The same thing happened to me. I almost didn't noticed that Jetstream was existing on the album (I also had a bad memory of Scissor Sisters Live recently in Tokyo). But, when I knew that it will be the second single, I started listening, and listening, and listening and I just can't stop!!! I LOVE THAT SONG!!! Thanks to have same kind of feeling!!!:love2: Yann.

Hi...

I'd like to say that I downloaded Jetstream and I absolutely love it. I can't help but get up and dance every time I hear it...it's a spectacular dance tune and I can't wait to hear the remixes!

Funny, it's one of the *brightest* moments on the album to me... :music:

Even Gwen Stefani's song with them (the one Hooky considered "shite") is more "New Order" than Jetstream :skeptic:

I'm sure that even the Scissor Sisters would agree that the song is complete cheese.
