As Monday is bank holiday, Is it likely distribution companies will be shipping, I remember waiting around a few years ago for a record on a bank holiday monday only to find record shops didnt get it until Tuesday. The tension would be to much!

You never know - as record shops will be open on Monday, sometimes the distributors ship product out on the previous Friday/Saturday - at least they did last time I worked in a music store.
As there's no postal service on Friday or Monday, people who pre-ordered a month ago may get their copies later than those who buy in-store... Worth checking!

You will find that most record shops receive the new releases on Saturday morning so that they can be processed ready to go on the shelves first thing Monday so as to ease the crazy onslaught of obsessive fans ( ;) ) that get their for 8:55 am.
However the question is your shop open on Monday? Hope mine is.
Can't speak for how they do it in the UK, but the place I work for can get the CDs in a week or two before the street date...we just have to remember to keep them off the salesfloor until the appropriate date...same with DVDs and computer and video game software...
I'll be keeping an eye on the backroom here in April!!!
Has to be said that was the biggest plus point working in a record shop, getting the albums to take home on a Saturday or Friday if lucky. As long they weren't scanned on the EPS system so that the Record Companies couldn't cotton on to them being bought before the release date. ![]()
But man 2 weeks prior to release, good for you! ![]()
I got an e-mail from Amazon UK earlier today saying my pre-ordered copy had been shipped, but it's possible they handle domestic shipments differently from international shipments.
Well i `m pretty confident i can take a wander into town on Monday and Spinadisc will be open. For the simple reason that last year on Easter Monday i bought the BBC Sessions CD that was released that day.
And when Get Ready came out on the August bank holiday 2001 i picked my copy from Sainsburys for under a tenner![]()

I, for one, would not like to feel the extension of your penis.
