I Told You So.
Not a bad tune at all, but all the others are simply superior... compared to Get Ready, there is no Run Wild or Rock The Shack on this one.
Working overtime is good.. the only problem is that it doesn't fit with the rest of the album.
Something about the title "Dracula's Castle" bothers me... but its a good song despite the cheesy Dracula bit. Working Overtime wouldve been an interesting experiment for a b-side, but it is out of place on the album. All-in-all the whole album is great... tons better than Get Ready.
GIAUE is the worst to me.
I found out I love every songs on this album produced by Stephen Street and NO.
Well, Guilt Is A Useless Emotion is the one track that Hooky doesn't like on the album, either, but I really like it! :)
I'll get back to you on the worst track, because I'm still undecided! :D
Hooky doesnt like a song on his own new album! That means he has nothing to say in the band. He has outside, he does all the interviews.
Worst song is Jetstream. (And what's the next single?

It fits in OK on the album, but its the only one i can't listen to on repeat
The last 7 songs - with the obvious exception of Turn - are absolutely shocking!
The title track and the aforementioned Turn are great. Who's Joe, Hey Now, and Krafty, are bearable but only just!

Is that you, M? If so, I'm glad to see that you agree that the two great songs on the album are in fact great!
I don't see how working overtime sounds like "Last train to clarksville"...I agree though, WO doesn't fit with the rest of the album...it is no wonder why they chose to insert it as their last track.

Yes Pastie, 'tis I. I'd even go so far as to say WFTSC and Turn are a good as anything they've done before. The only complaint is that I wish Turn was a bit longer, it just ends too soon!

Yes, M, I have the same feeling. As soon as it starts, it seems as if it's almost over. As I have said before, I think Turn is the very best thing they've ever done.

It deserves it's place up there with the best of them, that's true enough. Straight out of the top drawer, just like Dream Attack, Regret, and er, Slow Jam. ;)

Yes, M, I recall that you have long been an admirer of Slow Jam. We may differ on individual choices, but I think we agree in principle. The sound quality on Turn is almost as good as on Brotherhood.
As i ssaid on the other poll, jetstream, utter S-H-I-T.
GIAUE is growing on me, I think even WO will in about a year, the same way RTS did, but not that I play it too load in public.

Your conclusions are far too quick. He just doesn't like one song, this doesn't mean he's against that song appearing on the album, he's probably happy with the others so he can tolerate the one he doesn't like, especially if Barney really likes it... it's just that simple, they have to compromise and that's what makes New Order much better than their side projects... I think the relationship between Barney and Hoky is the most essential element of New Order's... if they agreed or disagreed on everything the sound wouldn't be as good, it's just the compromise between them that brings us such great music...

Its the intro - listen to the first 12-13 seconds & then come in with the 'last train' lyrics - its a fun new parlour game you can all play at home
