Richard X has given it the electro funked up edge Mr Price should have given it in the first place. Certainly the faster pace will score big in the clubs! I'd prefer this mix on the album.

Hey, redeyedboy. You`re not that New Order fan from Rugby i met at Reading 98 are you mate?

Wouldn't be me chap! I lived in Birmingham then however I was at Reading 98.

Ended up getting WFTSC from HMV in Solihull in the end becauase i was there that day. It's a shame I didnt support our local Spinadisc.

I'm going to support the little squirrel fondler on this one and suggest it was an intentional Huntsmanism rather than an act of reckless spelling.

Keep the Richard X version in edit form and a higher position than Krafty may prevail.

A massive thank you, Nic! :thumb: Well, the single version is just an edit like Krafty (though slightly different this time)... I hope they don't release yet another "CD1" with single and album version, that must be very boring for those having it as the only purchase... The remix is absolutely excellent, best remix of 2005 so far... I also thought at the idea of looping the bass and I'm glad he used it thought I'd have kept it returning more often... I adore the base, it sounds like Blue Monday for the 21st century! What a huge compliment I can write for this remix! Great for clubs, I hope DJs spin it a lot... Can't wait to see the video!

BTTT for those who've missed out on the 'summaries/reviews' of this remix - for me it's one of the best NO remixes since the days of BLT. Cock on!

They should do like they did with World... release 2 radio edits, pick your version ;)

However I must say it's a pretty good mix, very groovy, reminds me of the first time I heard the Perfecto Remix of World actually.

Are you cats talking about the Richard X mix only here? Has anyone heard the others?

By the way Nick, how much do you think the French Weatherall Regret promo CD is worth these days ....... ?

if you're completist or looking for limited releases, why not!  I dont like these mixes, fortunately for me I got the CD for free when I bought Republic. I must have listened it less than 5 times.

I just won the auction Helene's Friend. I do have the mixes elsewhere but it is one of the trickier promos to find these days and it does have an exclusive sleeve design which is always nice.

Certainly one of the premier French NO collectables.

when I saw it was Huntsman who started this thread I thought he was going to slag the remix - nice suprise to see even he likes it.

It's very good - Richard X is a good producer for poppy dancy 80s type stuff. He was behind the Elvis remix and Sugarbabes freak like me for anyone whose interested.

Think I prefer it to the original as well. Good work X.

Excellent remix... dare I say it, possibly the best remix they'd had since the World single! :bow2:

Am I the only here that thinks Arthur Baker's remix is the best one by far? I liked it even better than the album version...

I haven't hear Baker's yet, but the Richard X. mix is definitely better than the album mix.

Yes you are the only one.

The Richard X and JLC mixes are ace!

Well, in fact I didn't listen to the JLC remixes so I can't say anything about them.
