Im i the only one that really likes jetstream. I only bought the album two days ago, so im still trying to decipher my favorite tracks. Right now, it seems to be the dancier tracks. I havent listen to raise the pressure by electronic for a long time but does it remind anybody of it. Are their some recycled lyrics? Barney's lyrics are probabaly his least umimpressive. Overused imagery, and does he have a cliche book. However, I feel barney gets a bad rap for his songwriting. Take "temptation" for example, its simplicity is beautiful. As it was, when it was, tremendous lines. I wish he would spend more time on lyrics next time in 2009.

Besides the fact that it's definitely a grower (i was skeptical as some people suggested that about Get Ready, and Get Ready never grew on me beyond the average mediocrity i thought it was when it came out).

Right Now, it's WFTSC, which is my fav on the album, followed by Turn and Guilt...The only one i tend to avoid is Whose Joe, and that's growing on me too, and Jetstream which isn't growing on me.

Easy. "Guilt is a useless emotion" and "Waiting for the sirens' call." They tower mightily over the rest of the album, and are both (probably) within my top-20 New Order tracks of all time.

WFTSC Turn

Both emotional to me. WFTSC maybe their apology for the 93 to 2001 drought (in my mind). Also one the few that sounds like a classic NO tune whatever that is. I'd like to believe that's Gillian in the background.

Turn is their attempt to surpass LWTUA. Outstanding song.

It's a shame I have to remove HNWYD from the list. I really love the guitar riff and am very happy Jeff joined the band though I still miss Gillian.

I can't shake the same feeling, I know it's probably not true, but listening to The Other Two's first album (vocal tracks) gave me the immediate impression (in comparison to Electronic's and Monaco/Revenge's efforts) that Stephen and Gillian were the most responsible for the synth work that I truly loved on the pre-republic albums. Listening to a lot of the electronic stuff on this and Get Ready just reminds me of electronic, by and large, if Electronic were a better band (with the addition of Morris and Hooky), WFTSC gives me second thoughts as it most closely reaches New Order's 80's heights when they were focused on the Synth side of things.

Definitely Guilt and Turn. WFTSC is still growing on me.

This is actually really hard because I personally think 8 out of the 11 tracks are superb. Also, my favourite changes all of the time. At the mo it would be Dracula's Castle and Turn though (last week it was WFTSC and Guilt).

what's with the backlash against Jetstream? J: could you possibly describe what you actually do like about this song? 'cause I can't name one thing about this track that I like. It's so un-neworderish. And on a personal note; what irritates me most is that when you play the cd, track nr 7 is Dracula's castle, a song I really like a lot and I like to play very loud but then Jetstream comes straight after it and each time I have to walk over to my stereoset to skip the track. (No, I don't have a remote control for my cd-player)

But perhaps you can alter my view on the track by telling us what's so great about it. And yes it's a good thing that opinions can differ so much. Otherwise we would have nothing to discuss...
