Dracula's Castle - if we grant the above symbolisms (and if are drunk while on the forum you have no inhibitions about granting this), then Dracula's Castle, rather than being about the Cyclops cave is actually sung by Calypso, as she laments the loss of Odysseus' love and her inability to keep him captive on her island.

That said, I'm a skeptic about WFTSC being a concept album based on the Odyssey. The overall theme of the Odyssey, however, is a husband enduring through many trials and tribulations to finally reunite himself with his wife and son, and to retake his throne that has been threatened in his absence by usurpers. If you can demonstrate how WFTSC fits into this theme, you might even convince Bernard that he was actually a medium for Homer when he wrote the lyrics.

Maybe they didn't want to re-do the part about reuniting a man with his wife and son because they already did it on Love Vigilantes?

It is stiking that you have pointed to one of the lines and one of the tracks that I too feel provides some of the strongest support for this theory. I have previously noted the line "It's been ten long years since I've been home" as being a clear reference to the length of Odysseus's absence.

With respect to your other comments, I will need to consider them further.

What I said in my lost reply was that I too have pointed to the "ten long years" line as providing strong support for the theory.

And that I would need to think about the other comments.
