We’ve known each other for 37 years. You get less for murder. He had it in his blood. It was like coming home for Christmas. We wanted to write a song that plays itself. We were burning the candle at both ends. He’d come on stage and was this demented lunatic. These days we play straight. It flatters us that people think Joy Division is important. I really don't have a message for the world. The Hacienda was loosing 30 grand a week/month before I was getting paid. We were very normal people. Ian was a right laugh.

We never made a shit album. We tried to be guitar-y on "Get Ready". On this new album we realized that there's nothing wrong with sounding like New Order. We didn’t hear any B-sides or fillers, we just heard 18 great songs. My favorite song in this album is "Waiting For The Sirens' Call". My favorite song of this lot will be on the next album. Gillian won't be back. God rest his soul. (Hooky on Ian Curtis or Rob Gretton)

And of course the timeless classic:

Tony Wilson is a cunt, he still owes us money from Technique!

I always wanted to be a human drum machine. I don't think about what I do, I just do it. Certain substances opened my eyes and ears to the beauty of strict electronic rythem.

We are just normal, really.

We felt really, really bad about not touring the U.S. on Get Ready, so for WFTSC we're going all out and doing four gigs over there.

We don't care about interviews, it's all about the music.

We realize fans are going to miss Gillian, but wait until they see Phil sporting a pair of stilettos for the Working Overtime video.

We were going to call ourselves The Spatulars, but we realised early on that people wouldn't like the association with kitchen apparel.
