Bravo Jeff. Christmas brings out the worst in people. I could go on for hours about the selfish assholes i've had to deal with but you and marty (and socrates!) are doing just fine. Happy Holidays to all who post here and to your loved ones as well. I heard Technique 3 times in full (except Fine Time) while shopping yesterday and the guy at the coffee stand said Get Ready was his choice for album of the year and he's not even a big neworder fan (substance is his only other neworder cd).

It's interesting to see the different viewpoints on who's an asshole during the holidays. When you're out shopping, an uncooperative jerk at the mall is your worst enemy, but if you're the one wokring behind the counter while crowds of ignorant people complain that you're not helping, you view the customers as further annoyance. At any rate, I am niether today, just trying to enjoy what holiday cheer is available (no liquor though, dammit!)

I was in Tesco yesterday doing my family bit and buying all the shite that is only deemed appropriate once a year, and there was this rather attractive young lady on the checkout who looked absolutely bored out of her tiny mind. I felt so sorry for her - there was me positively steaming with apopleptic rage at having to queue, the swell of pride at having demolished a Jamie Oliver (cunt) bookstand singlehandedly having been rapidly dissipated, as I realised that not only was my protest entirely in vain, at least I had a choice. To buy my goods there or to buy them elsewhere. She was stuck on that checkout, with complaining bastards like me every thirty seconds all day. She was probably not getting paid much for the pleasure, couldn't say a word of protest. Like a caged animal in a zoo. I hope your Christmas goes well tomorrow girl, you earned it.
