If you truly were an angel you would not banish football, you would support both Worcester City and Celtic !! :)

i've not read the bible or anything so i'm probably wrong on this one - but do angels really like football and do they really support those aforementioned teams? if so, if you don't comply with this do you end up in hell? but if heaven is full of bizarre football fanatics would i really want to be there anyway?

i've been philosophical enough for one post now.

Meg Ryan knew the answer to that one !

Mr Socrates thanks for the support;)
Sarah if you read the bible - I think it was St.Marks letter to the Corinthians - it goes And when the angels descend from heaven to earth - they shall indeed visit the East end of Glasgow and go to a place called Paradise to see The Timmites - but be careful my angels - if you go to the west end of Glasgow you will be amongst forces of extreme darkness (the hunnites) - but if you have time could you pop in on Worcester City and see how they're doing - they need all the help they can get.....Honest So Angels and the big guy up the stairs really do like FOOTBALL;)

but i don't.

what are you talking about?

shug you really made me laugh! i would go and check that but i don't think i actually own a bible. ah well, i'll just have to assume you're telling the truth.

It's well-known that God moves in mysterious ways. It's equally well-known, amongst strikers in the Dr.Martens Premier Division, that Worcester City's defence also moves in mysterious ways, hence the appalling goals-against column. As City hold a place in my heart that many centuries ago would have been the preserve of a religious icon, they can indeed be assigned deification status. The altar of the Church of Worcester City will tomorrow be assembled at Middlefield Lane, Hinckley, at 12.00 noon. I shall expect to see you all there :)

It's quite simple. Football has replaced religion as the chief source of bonding amongst humans, and also as the prime vehicle for division and hatred. Whereas believing in a God was a cheap scapegoat for human failings, football rivalry gives you an opportunity to take out your frustration on the perceived enemy ! It's all about territory at the end of the day. Kidderminster is up the road for a reason......

maybe the reason i have no need for football is because i have no frustration and no need for religion.

Lucky you ! I'm getting frustrated after 4 days !! Hate to think what it must be like for Shug !!

You don't have to be frustrated to like footy - although it does help - espescially when you spend 9 years on the fucking receiving end!!! I am not deeply religious myself - although I was an alter-boy and went to church till I was 16 - but I still believe in the big guy:nod: As for Mr.Socrates your analysis was pretty much spot on mate - So it's the mighty Kidderminster who are your rivals then....any funny songs about them mate?

Be good to finally meet some of the people from the site - cos if we were waiting for a NO concert - I could be waiting for quite a fuckin while:lol:
