What is the most useless item in your New Order collection?

What is the thing you bought and still wonder why you did buy it?

Or what did you buy and felt stupid about buying it because of various factors (too expensive, etc) ?

Let us know!

I'll think about mine, I've done stupid things, but there must be one better than the others.. my first idea was being stupid enough to buy 2 "Extra Order" by mistake instead of one, but that's too easy...

i will upset a lot of fellow fans here.....but...the new album is very dull and im pissed off because after 20 years of brilliance i have realised that new order are only human after all(the new daft punk album was a let down as well)

A NOOL shirt in CuanaD's house :evil4:

Well, not quite. I think my two damaged copies of Get Ready that I'm keeping because they're both from different countries than my current one probably count, as I'm not a completionist in any way.

the 12 inch record of "world in motion". its exactly the same as the 7 inch but cost a pound extra.

so i bought the CD single and got 2 bonus tracks.

incidently, if anyone wants the 12 inch they can have it for £20!!

KRAFTY [UK CD, Pt. 2]

Because now I'm going to buy the U.S. single (hopefully with the right cover!). It's a pity they didn't inform earlier. And some people here kept saying there would no US release.

Right now the most useless item in my collection would be my US Beta video of Taras.....seeing as how my Sony Beta VCR finally died, and I haven't gotten round to getting another one quite yet.

Also have the Factory Outing and HATYM on Beta as well; Perverted By Language by the mighty Fall too.

12" picture disc with an interview on each side...

I got rid of all the extraneous New Order things that I no longer wished to keep over a year ago now - flogged them to the 2nd hand shop in Macc.

Stuff like the awful Sly n Robbie mixes of Ruined, the Rest Of New Order CD, Blau Montag/Blue Monday 95 12", State Of The Nation 12" (no need for that cos Substance had both sides), a few badly printed student posters, etc etc....

Mine would probably be the UK versions of (the best of) NewOrder and International. A short while after buying both of them (years apart) I got my hands on the US version of (the best of) with the full edit of Let's Go (Nothing For Me) and the International EU 2 Disc version respectively. Both original UK copies seem pretty useless now and I only really hold onto them for my collection's sake. Aside from that I treasure all my NO items as being pretty unique and I'm sure I have some other duplicate items elsewhere. I suppose my one other useless NO item would be the CentreDate version of Technique as it became much less valuable when I discovered the original FACD in excellent condition in a second hand record shop.

I bought a spare copy of the BM 12" 'just in case'. I think I was trying to start a conversation with the girl in the store.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call that "useless" if an hour later the two of you were listening to it over a nice chardonay and rubber sheets. :music:  :love2: :smoking:

Let's hear the story. I've got a spare 90 seconds!

I don't think there's anything useless in my New Order collection, although I haven't listened to (the best of) in ages.

Christmas flexi disc (but it cost nowt). several imported singles which are exactly the same as the uk release but with a HMV import label on the sleve. All the T shirts which don't fit anymore and got puked all over anyway (but I wish I still had the round &round one with just the & on the front cos it confused everyone)

Thats because you didn't tell me it had arrived till today!

Its also probably far too big for you anyway, so it should be safe from being appropriated before I get to pay you for it..

I have two different TRUE FAITH shirts - surely I don't need both, although one has "NEW ORDER" written on the back, has a nicer leaf on the front and is a size larger than the other. But the other one fits me better and is a nicer blue. That's my ridiculous justification for keeping both.

I'd have to say the spooky single.

I may have listened to it once or twice and now it just looks cool sitting on my shelf, but that's about it.

Actually, I think mine is the no-longer-owned copy of the domestic (American) release of Best of. To me, it just doesn't sound right. International was a candidate, but I also bought the import of it. At the time I didn't have some of the mixes on the second disc that I wanted. But the one thing still in my collection that I never play.....the 1963 cd 2 single. I only bought it to go in the die cut box for the first one...
