My favorite New Order album of all time is Republic , this is because this is the first album I ever bought of theirs after listening to regret on radio,I know people are going to think i am crazy but this one in my opinion is an incredible album it brings so many memories back to me.

Today it is Low Life. Last week it was Brotherhood. Over the summer Technique will get a lot of hits, while the Call of the Sirens has been infiltrating my ears for a good while. My point is there is no definitive answer to your question.

Low Life or Technique, although Republic gets a fair amont of play. Sirens is getting up there.

Any New Order playlist I make of course, its hard to pick an album! Otherwise, I'm begining to lean towards Sirens' Call somehow. It sounds so good as of today!

I love Movement, too. I think it's one of their most cohesive albums, second in that department only to perhaps Technique. Hannett's production is great, and I really like a lot of the songwriting, too. It's very underrated!

Technique as a proper album but Substance as a compilation.

Technique is sublime. Its a great album to play in the summer, as the music is quite up and personally speaking I think it has Barneys best vocals to date. The synths are gorgeous, Hookys bass melodic, and the guitar work is very inspired, clean of distortion, shiny and using different effects to Brotherhoods lack of variety.

Theres not one duff track on the album. Its very house-dancy but with much more to it. It doesnt date and I can never get bored to listening to it. Its quite inspiring, very polished, the music gels perfectly, its very well produced and has my favourite album cover as well.

Substance is also a sublime album. And, I know Im in the minority big time here, I think the 3 S's - Shellshock, Subculture and State of The Nation are fantastic tracks. Ok so theyre a little dated now but the guitar solo at end of SOTN is one of their finest.

There was a time (we'll call "before") when people would be put to the stake for this sort of admission!

Today's favourite is Sirens. Tomorrow's will probably be Sirens as well. Sunday's is anyone's guess (though the smart money is not on Brotherhood).

It is difficult to say what album is the best of all time. It is strange that most of their best singles are not found on regular albums (I don't count "Substance" as one).

Soo... Hmm... :confused2:

I think I love "Power, Corruption, Lies". It is a great link between Joy Division and New Order. "Age of consent" is great and "Your silent face" is my favourite N.O.-song of all time.

My thoughts exactly! Also, nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks it's a perfect summer album (I think someone else said that too). I always take it on my holidays. It's summer on a CD, pure and simple! :)

After Technique, my next favourite has to be Republic. Call me crazy if you like but it helped get me through college. I was always stressed, miserable and scared while I was there and it kind of "spoke" to me, teenybopperish as that sounds, because of that. It reminded me that I wasn't the only one feeling that way. If Technique's the summer, then Republic's the winter that follows.

Low-Life.

Though I'd rather listen to this current album more than any of the old ones. Certainly doesn't make it my favourite though.

Technique for me  I think it will always be my favourite New Order album, and one of my all time favourites by anyone.

I'm loving WFTSC though and I would have this in my top 3 by NO. I honestly didn't think I would be saying that :)

Power, Corruption, and Lies is my favorite. New Order is the only group to which I own all of their albums (groups with more than 3 albums)
