"Bizarre Love Triangle" was background music in one scene... strangely enough there were other tracks from 80s bands as well.

Who are you calling an 80sb band. New Order are now.

err, pardon my error. other songs from the 80s were featured such as "take on me" by Aha.

but yes, you are correct. New Order is still a current/modern band! :thumb:

I haven't watched the past several seasons of The Simpsons; it really lost its touch after season 7 for me.

Yeah, I thought they got old a long time ago.

last night's episode was actually one of the funnier ones from the most recent seasons. though i do tend to agree the show has lost a lot of its luster in the past few years.

I saw the the episode last night off of my DVR. I kinda like the episodes where they took into their futures.

It's nothing "spectacular." Just cool that it was used.

Okay, we've got Homer Simpson in the Rock'n'Roll Circus once in the company of Brian Seltzer, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, the Rolling Stones and Lenny Kravitz.

Now it's time for the Simpsons to embrace New Order. Why not? We've got a cartoon already (Back To Mine). :)

By the way, a Pet Shop Boys song was played once in a gay themed episode. It means actually only one thing: synth sounds from the British Isles break thru one way or another. Oh yeah and how could I forget Homer singing "If you wanna really want...", a Spice Girls song
