Good old Peely, you can always rely on him to back the Order. There was really no need for the Strokes to get so many entries though. FEAR by Ian Brown was a notable absentee as well. Along with Crystal, it was my single of the year.

Well nobody has really tried to rip off the Ramones and the Velvets at the same time for at least two years, and even the NME occasionally tire of championing remixes of out-of-tune vocals. Sad but true, there was nobody else to build up to put down really, was there ?

I think the all-time list was compiled in 98 - so if he does another all-time list - it may well change, but then again the music over the last few years hasn't exactly been great has it? No-ones come close to challenging the Order for my affection...but then again I suppose no-one will;)

The all-time list was done in 99, then aired during the millenium week. Guess Peel's listeners have moved on with him, and there's not many young 'uns coming thru'?! Mind you, I recognise SFA from this year's list!

I find this a bit hard to grasp - seeing as Peely has ALWAYS siad that his fave song of all time will forever be Teenage Kicks by the Undertones - so what is it now doing at number two behind Joy Division. ?? Perhaps he's finally getting sick of listening to it? And I half expected him to place at least One track by the Fall in the top ten but there isn't one. Most strange. :laugh:
