Turn is great, but WFTSC edges it out.

Two great songs, but WFTSC does edge out Turn.

Turn is incredible, but WFTSC is slightly more poignant.

Turn is fantastic, but WFTSC is rather average. Honestly, can anyone tell me what IS so special about it?

Waiting for the Sirens'Call because it kinda sums my life up at the moment!

not really my two favorites on the album... but I'll stick to the Sirens'.

IMO, "Turn" deserves to survive. WFTSC is good but I find it a bit "academic".

Turn is the best song on the album (IMHO) & should therefore survive.:music:

Out of those two - TURN:thumb:

Neither is my favourite - but both are prety good

Yes,Turn. :thumb:

Well, Turn is the second best. Right behind Guilt Is The Immune Emotion. :P

Turn.

Isn't it strange that, although many people here were very critical (before its release) about the fact that the album might sound techniquey and lack innovation, the two remaining songs are the most Techniquey off the album? certainly Turn, which could have been on Technique.

This is possibly the hardest choice of any poll we've done so far, as both of these tracks are already up there in the oldmonkey top ten.

Waiting, by a whisker.

Sirens'

wow it's a dead heat at 23/23.

Not an easy choice as on my first listen i was blown away by WFTSC.

BUT i've just voted for Turn as its pure vintage New Order

Turn now leads by 24 votes to 23

I therefore declare this poll closed!! :evil4:

The best track on the album is Guilt. Turn has some melancholic beauty. Although the intro reminds of the cure. WTFSC is great especially the intro.

had to go with WFTSC...

It is interesting, as both of these songs are not 'classic' new order, and both push new territory for the band....

Turn is a classic lp closer, you can picture the video with sumner on his yacht sailing about with a setting sun or whatever... (ironic cause WFTSC actually speaks of boating)

WFTSC is almost Sonic Youthish with its punky start, primitive kitwork, and lack of effects.... very honest song, stripped down, almost something a college indie rock would compose...

I voted for WFTSC, as it is less polished, and more sincere, less cinematic certainly, but the one i would play with my girl in the car on a sunny day....

let's hope my vote makes Turn the winner (28/27).

Two all-time NO classics, but judging by which one I play more, Sirens' just edges it. Really hope it's the track they open this summer's sets with.

Thanks for resetting my vote to keep it fair

Now it's 32/28 WFTSC

Turn, it's a tough call but I think the only thing to seperate them in my mind is WFTSC has an overlapping verse/chorus making it hard to sing along to and will fuck up the live version, petty I know, but with wo fantastic songs to choose from, you've got to find a reason somehow.

You know what's great is that I think most people will be happy no matter the outcome.

Although I think Guilt shoulda made it to the top three at least

Turn without question. Great verse, bridge and chorus. A top tune but one that would have stuck out like a sore thumb on Technique. I dont think any NO songs would have fitted on technique period. WFTSC is a good song but I HATE the overlaping verse and chorus. Really wished they had done a fill or something instead. Also the keyboard on this track sounds a bit casio-ish and its a bit bland and repetitive. Turn woudl be great live.

Did you really listen to WFTSC ??? :thumb:  for voting Turn ???:confused2: :dead:

Now 35/33 to Turn.

Love both songs, hope both are live this summer.

Guilt should have won; these two tracks are substandard compared to GIAUE and Morning Night and Day

Voted for the title track, it's 38-36 to Turn at the moment.

Turn is the survivor. WFTSC is good, but not up to Turn's quality. It's faster, catchy, great guitaring and decent lyrics. :thumb:

Too close to call. I demand a recount. :evil4:

What is not classic on WFTSC? It´s the most classic NO-song on the album!

i really dont see how turn could win over wftsc. Turn in my opinion kinda bland. The songwriting on wftsc just not compare to turn. Turn is from the book of cliches.

You've just answered yer own question, it's all down to personal opinion. And to be perfectly honest I'd put Road To Ruin as my second favourite with WFTSC 3rd:nod:

My horror-finale... I love both songs... "WFTSC" won the coin toss.

*Ah, Nanne, those Muijs in your avatar!!! How I miss them!!! When my dad was still alive we went to visit our relatives much more often and I'd always bring back home all the Muijs I can!!! It's so delicious, I'm planning an import businness for Italy, it'll be a huge success... those pills are better than Extasy! ;) Anyway I voted the title track because it's more New Order and the verse is so wonderful, Turn is also great, but sounds a bit more generic alternative rock for the American target. It's true though, as Ben says the two safest choices are contending the victory, the most different songs like I Told You So have been underrated, so don't complain New Order aren't groundbreakingly innovative anymore at 50 if you then prefere the safest songs...

let this play out for a little while. Im confident wftsc will comeback.

MY vote just put WFTSC ahead at 47 to Turn's 46.

I am sure it will change.

C'mon WFTSC!! 48/47 - it's going down to the wire.

Turn is going down. Surprising.

Well, at least it's close.

With Joe gone it's Turn's turn to walk the plank. One of the blander songs on the album. Siren's call to win in a battle of the also rans.

Well, at least it's close.

My two favorites so my heart isn't completely bleeding.

How you been P?

So it's time to close this, the winner is the title track by 5 votes.

I must admit it's been one of the closest votes we had in those Survivor...
