THANK YOU! What a wonderful performance, especially by Phil and Hooky, though I highly suspect Phil is miming the most of the keyboards?! It's true that something looks wrong between them in this video, they don't look as happy as in the videos we've seen from 1998-2002, even Hoooky looks bored. Barney tries to do his best with his whoops but seems not entirely convinced. It's a pity because it's overall a great live set, I just hope it was a matter of that night that made them look so bored, alarmingly more similar to what we've seen from the Republic year than from the Get Ready triumphs. I just don't wanna them to split before the next album! Those who talked to them after the show, what did you notice about how they felt? Did they look happy or bored?

Funny...I kind of thought that Barney was nicer and in a relaxed mood...hooky was wandering about and in general I thought that they looked pretty comfortable...performing live at high energy in a studio is probably not the easiest thing to do.

I really would like to see Johnny Marr there, but Phil does a good job. They are again dressed in black, I like that.

Yes, I think the taped voices suck. It makes the performance seem to be rather half-playback than live. I would prefer if they just left out the backing vocals, or if Gillian did them... :D

All the songs were performed quite accomplished.Krafty and WFTSC in particular were great. But does Barney only own one set of clothes these days.The Black top and jeans combo?. A tv studio is probably not the most energising of places to perform but they were pretty good.Wish i was goin to Glastonbury because that should reallt rock as long as Barney doesn`t get stage fright in front of the masses.

I just made the dvd and its pretty good, there are still some pixles, but its good enough.

I recommend overlapping (insert a transition) inbetween each song, so you dont get a pause between each song. I used one that looks like you just turned a page and the sound and picture are perfect!

They are all wearing black, and they did too on the TOTP performance. I think it is the eighties look. A new start from the beginning.

My DVD came out great though there seems to be a tiny lag between audio and video. Observations:

• I'd rather have a stripped down song live than a full production with taped vocals (listen to the transition from verse to chorus on WFTSC)
• Barney can get as far out of tune as Ian Brown sometimes
• Barney's gone from whoops to whistles
• They still kick ass
• I'm even more pumped for Chicago

Great performance except for the fuckin Autocue.I m getting a bit fed up now of watching Barney constantly look at the Autocue.It makes it seem like they are rehearsing a song for the first time and not actually enjoying playing the song(s).Drugs have quite clearly addled his brain.It just not cool.

Isn't it odd? He needs an autocue for lyrics, but doesn't need one for music (chords etc.). So it applies only to the verbal memory... hm... Anyway it DOES NOT bother me in no way. Absolutely fine with me.

That was great! They seemed fairly relaxed and comfortable to me. My girlfriend noticed that they don't show Hooky much - they focused on him the least. Phil is shown alot. i guess it's a tell-tale sign that the French producer doesn't really know New Order and how Hooky's bass is a big part of it. He probably just assumed the 2 guitar players are the most important.

I just can't wait for the Chicago show - I'm way stoked!

haha, i'm with you there, mate. i'm pretty sure he was miming just about all of the keyboards except during LWTUA. also on a couple of occasions, with the audio/video lag, i can't tell if steve is actually hitting the cymbals, or if he's hitting them after the sequencer has already played the cymbal hits.

Hi all well I am also getting a delay between audio and video. Tried it on a few different PCs some quite high spec. Not wishing to moan too much though it's really great to see the performances but would be nice for it to be in sync.

First of all, this show was done to promote the new album in France. So it's not as cool as a concert. I don't think they were bored but concentrated. But I saw them like they usualy are: Barney with his little stupid dances, whipping. Hooky walking all around the studio, and playing just in front of us. Steven concentrated on his drums. I saw him smiling only one time. Barney talked to the audience between the songs and was joking with his guitar problems: "who want this guitar ?" "me, me, me!!!" Stephen, followed by Phil came a bit later. Phil looks the happier and Stephen the more tired (playing drums is like a sport! :dead: ) Finaly, Hooky was the last out and spend a lot of time with us. Nicolas (who covered 586) talked about the community tribute.

*Yeah, with Steve, or anyone else, it could be just some audio/video lag, the problem with Phil is I'm actually sure he NEVER moves the fingers were they would be supposed to go to play those notes. I've played keyboards since 1978 (longer than Gillian ;) ) and though never becoming the new fookin Mozart and having moved to bass and played the computer rather than the piano keyboard in the recent years I still can tell that those fingers would move differently if he actually made those chords and melodies, even if there was a lot of prerecorded stuff, the way his hand appears is almost nowhere related to the music, so yes, I'm 99.99% sure he was miming, though the track being played is not, of course, that from the record, but a different track recorded to sound credibly live... Naughty naughty Phil! A damn great guitarist, but maybe they should add another member to take care of the keyboards? It was better to see Gillian play two notes with one finger than Phil faking a chord progression... Also, next time they, erm, "play" in a TV studio they should instruct the camera man to not show Phil's hands, it would be enough to see him from the front of the stage, nobody would wonder if he's actually playing, the fact Phil's hands are shown so often just says the director of the show knew nothing about music...

I'm tired of that autocue. If it could really help I wouldnt matter so much, but it actually confuses the singer (see LWTUA).

No, no :D My friends and I were on the last row. With this high position, we were not embarrassed with the cameras in front of the audience.

So how do i save the footage onto my hard drive?.Sorry, i`m clueless.But i do know how to download and save from Soulseek:)
