Technique is NO's best album, no 'Jetstream' or 'Guilt Is A Useless Emotion'. 9 songs of sheer class.

okay i dont seem to like "Jetstream", but i like "Guilt is a Useless Emotion". "Hey now what you doing" sounds a lot like the Church's "north South East and West"
and Working Overtime is Basically the Stooges 1969
Overall i do like the record and i think the more i listen the more it will grow on me, however its no Technique, in fact i think i even prefer Republic to it.
Technique helped define NO's "sound"; WFTSC is comparable to Technique solely because it marks a return to their sound. The only stand out tracks on Republic and Get Ready were Regret and Here to Stay. WFTSC is a sigh of relief.
I've tried to appreciate Fine Time; it doesn't seem to fit. Well, its better than having World in Motion on the album ![]()

maybe i got a bum copy
and i could name a few more really good songs on Republic(Ruined in a day, World, Etc.)

world, ruined in a day, special, everyone everywhere....you missed some stellar songs on republic...
Would you guys think I was absolutely nuts if I told you I actually like Republic more than Tekneek??

just start a new Thread because there will be a lot of comments on that one ![]()
Had to go with Technique for sentimental reasons...
Give me a couple of years with WFTSC, and we'll see if "Who's Joe" "I Told You So" and "Morning Night and Day" are in the same league as "Round and Round", "Run", "Dream Attack" and "Mr. Disco"
P.S. I still think I'm the only one who doesn't mind "Fine Time" ![]()
WFTSC is solid record, I'd place ahead of Get Ready and probably Republic.
But the only album in existence that equals Technique in my opinion is Brotherhood. My God, those two records....
I think Technique is better. WFTSC has, however, certainly grown on me like a new in-law though! Well, except for a mother-in-law. ![]()
