This is not a first, but sometimes I feel like some people are doing a bad job...

Funny, it seems that more and more people are thinking this is New Order's official website, you've seen many examples from Germany, but after the BBC, it's now DotMusic's turn!

"Rock's senior citizens will play the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on January 23, and the Metro in Melbourne on January 30, according to the band's website Neworderonline."

not a bad mistake though. this site beats the official site hands down and the get ready site was a waste of money.

If you want to find out anything about New Order, come here, simple as that. Maybe the band should bung you two a lot of money as a retainer and turn this into an official site ? :)

I second that GH - I've been trying to navigate that completely useless NeworderGetReady site ever since the album came out and there's nothing in it - has anyone else managed to get anything out of it? It's pure crap - definitely one of the most p[ointless websites I have ever seen. Suppose this is the record company's idea of a cryptic joke perhaps. and even now there has been nothing new added to it - so why on earth did they bother?

I wouldn't bet on the record companies wanting to turn NOO into the official website!

It would certainly give us the will to continue the development, make everything better, etc..... but let's be realistic: I don't think New Order are much important to them anymore, or at least in this period of time.

And if they sell millions, then they'll move forward with their original official websites.

I only know of two examples of fansites who became official sites (and the webmasters got paid to maintain it): the official Depeche Mode site with The Brat (Daniel Barassi) and the Pet Shop Boys official site (don't remember the name of the webmaster). The Cure's Chain of Flowers is not the official website but the official site OFTEN refers to COF by even putting links to COF... but the guy doesn't get paid for it.

What this website could use if provided financial support from Warner Records would be a REAL and FAST dedicated server. That would be a good start.

We need to make a stand against the record companies and STOP BUYING THEIR SHIT PRODUCTS. How many of us have cd burners? I would rather have one person buy the disc and send out 100 copies to screw the label. If neworder get dropped and the band actually care about music or have an artistic statement to make, they will resurface on an independant label where they belong. Do not buy Someone Like You when it comes out. Download or copy the songs you really want and let the rest rot on the shelves. We should have a voice since it's OUR money that's padding their wallets. FUCK PETE TONG!!!!! Old fuck should not be deciding who gets to remix Neworder nor should he decide anything other than nonfat or whole milk. we can make a difference.

I dunno what you may think, but having browsed thruogh a few of the postss and threads this week (more time to do so as I'm off duty for the next five days), I'm getting the impresion that quite a few people have started writing(ranting?) in a style not too unlike our departed friend Martian - is this some sort of conspiracy to get rid of him so you can rip him off or something? It's looking rather suspiscious. And why do some you keep changing your onscreen names??!! p :confused:

I've change my name several times over the last three months, though I have drastically increased my posting frequency since becoming re-single just before Christmas (thank fuck).

Nobody rants like Marty though.....
