'Throw Me A Christmas Bone'

Merry Christmas to one and all and Happiest of New Years!

... been a bit occupied with many friends and family occassions over the yule time log but just popped by to relay that I did in fact receive 'Powder, Custard and Pies' from Father Chrimble Tree. Aside from the front cover being placed upside down in the CD holder all was perfect. You see, I hadn't heard this album since I filtered me New Order collection into the loft during a house move about 3 years back and PC&L was missing from the CD rack down the stairs.

Anyhow, how beautiful it was to slip the shiny object into the player and re-live those glory days gone by the way. '5-8-who-do-we-appreciate', 'The Village Idiot' and 'Throw Me A Bone' made me weak with hunger. 'Your Silenced Fascia' sounded as crisp as a freshly un-popped Pringles tube and 'We All Can't Wait for it to Finish' was duly skipped after the first bass drawl ... so same as always I guess, but what a joy to hear after what must be a 3 year gap tooth.

A pal of mine bought me Depeche Modulars 'Not Very Excitable' album which I already have so its a free trip to the His Masters Voice shop for a £16 quid prize picking ... and I still haven't got the horrific 70MPH things, hhmmmmm.

Hope you are all having a great time and Fetlock Chrimbo was generous to everyone and every animal.

There's a lot of threads to get through ... and that's just my Christmas jumper.

I 'appen to rather like it....but then that's no recommendation. Even the plinky-plonky piano Peel version has a certain charm...

I'm now jealous of the man they call the Hunt, as I reeally truly desperately wanted PCL in my stocking this year on CD, as my old vinyl copy is now fornicated. Could I find in HMV and all those Steps-worshipping shops before the festivities got underway ? Could I buggery. Found several flat towns in Germany remixes of flat singing, but no bowls of flowers with impenetrable code lurking within. Schade dass. Maybe I will mosey on down the road named after a big University next week and see what I can come up with.

Wasn't all movement though. Don't know if I told you already, but I did get a double CD with several smiling faces of S.Cracknell looking appealingly at me, as well as the dulcet tones of said S.Cracknell asking me who I am.

There's almost enough now for an alternative song title section ! With the band themselves using so many over the years, and the man of Pringle doing likewise, surely there has never been a better time ?

yes indeed...maybe Huntsy could come up with a list of them all... I'd probably laugh so hard I'd fall right out a window
