I'm sorry, but that was it for me. Nothing can save us now. Jetstream can be great, and it can be horrible. In my opinion the music video shows us horrible. Ana ruins the bridge, and we lose hooky. Sure, the guitars sound nice, but do they really fit? And Ana seariously freaked me out in her parts. Otherwise I think the parts with NO are great, reminds me of Crystal. NO are doing funny things nowadays.

I see that its not getting rave reviews for limetime new order fans. I happen to love it, sounds like typical new order.

Hey, they didn't even try to "green screen" Bernard and Ana into the same frame together ... she's that sexually intimidating.

It's bright and fun, Hooky (what you can see of him) looks downright cool in his Matrix gear, and Barney still looks like William Shatner.

Honestly, I think Barney's voice is, um, an acquired taste, and for a radio/video edit I would have either distorted it a bit (a la the entire Franz and Killers records) or vocoded the piss out of it for that "new" sound.

The kids'll dig it, and that's good enough for me.

I'm pretty disappointed with the mix for that video. The minor amount of balls the song actually had has been mixed down or sugar-coated out of the final cut.

Although, camera should have shown the rest of the band members more. And I see Bernard doing his infamous kicking as well!

I'm really glad NO is the video, and thats cool. I just get scared by ana, maybe its the wig. But after watching it again, its sounds interesting. Its kind of cool hearing all the different mixes & edits this song is getting. I just wish I could hear hooky.

there's no way in hell this video will get any airplay here in the States. terrible video in my opinion.

Well she looks better in motion that what the stills were doing for her. I know she likes to be freaky, but the hair is way out there.

I think she is pretty hot with her red hair, so I am not sure why they changed it. I don't know a lot about the scissor sisters, will people be able to tell it's her?

i'm reading all your opinions, and don't understand what you are complaining about. They appear in the video. (or at least Barney is), this is a huge step! :) And also, who can be scared by Ana??? she is a 100% sex godness.... i love her with or without the wig.

The only thing i don't like is the mix. Why did they removed Hooky?? that's a shame.

1. WHERE IS HOOKY!? In the music, and in the video? Even the new guy gets more airtime than poor Peter!

2)Ana is scary. It's the Portabello on her head what does it.

some of you must not have much to complain about in real life... its just a video, its an eyecandy advert

its a cool video, with at least some very good potential to be shown/ broadcast in many places, with crossover potential... and somehow even manages to make Bernard look kinda cool!!! ... which is an incredible feat, you can tell that some people did take this video as having some serious/real commercial potential

the video is visually interesting, its a cool classic style music video. i don't know what the song will do in the USA, but it has potential in many ways worldwide. sort of a "tweener" song, where will it fit? too slow for dance? too weird for adult contempory? too pop for alternative?

and you guys are right about Hooky... Hooky is damn cool, couldnt they have gave him .75 seconds of face time in the vid or 5 seconds of bass groove higher in the mix!... i guess they think Hooky will scare the girls:\ohwell:

It would've been nice to see/hear a bit more Hooky and Stephen -- and Ana is indeed scary at times -- but I love the funky set. It's a shame they weren't able to edit the album version of the song down, though, instead of coming up with this washed-out version.

What happened to the cool, artsy New Order? I still love New Order and the new album(for the most part), but the video doesn't even have the cheekiness of the TBTHOG or 60MPH videos...It's just so bland. Maybe it'll grow on me like the Krafty video(which I now find to actually be pretty nifty), but as of now Jetstream is really eh.

Additionally, I still can't get used to not seeing Gillian there.

I have to say that after watching the video I wasn't that impressed. As a New Order fan for over 25 years it seemed very simplified. Now I don't know what their budget was for the video, so I have to give them the benefit of the doubt on that.

When I started listening to the song, and it was the first time I heard it. I was reminded of how simplistic the lyrics were. It reminded me of a rap song. I was able to follow and guess what the next line would be. Maybe I'm setting the bar to high since Ecstasy & Love Vigilantes are my barometer. Can you tell I was a history major?

All-in-all I give the song and video a 6.5.
