Okay, me being a sad collector means I like to track down every individual New Order track and mix (prefereably on CD), but not all the many, many formats that get released of each item. Here's the Krafty and Jetstream mixes I know of - am I missing any so far? I make it 14 bloody mixes of Krafty, for Chistsake! Please tell me there's no more than the 9 mixes of Jetstream I'm currently aware of!!! I reckon so far that I just need the promo UK 12" for the Tom Neville Dub, along with the three regular UK formats to get them all.

Krafty (Single Edit) CD 3:48 - From ‘Krafty’ CD single Krafty (Album Version) CD 4:32 - From ‘Krafty’ CD single Krafty (The Glimmers 12" Extended) CD 6:53 - From ‘Krafty’ remix CD single Krafty (Phones Reality Remix) CD 7:04 - From ‘Krafty’ remix CD single Krafty (Andy Green Remix) CD 3:22 - From ‘Krafty’ remix CD single Krafty (Re-Edit Of Album Version) CD 4:49 - From ‘Krafty’ remix CD single Krafty (The Glimmers Dub Version) 12" 5:22 - From ‘Krafty’ 12" Krafty (The Glimmers Alternative Dub Version) CD 5:53 - From ‘Krafty’ CD promo Krafty (Riton Re-Dub Remix) CD 6:55 - From ‘Krafty’ CD promo Krafty (Morel's Pink Noise Vocal) CD 7:52 - From ‘Krafty’ US CD single Krafty (DJ Dan Vocal) CD 8:18 - From ‘Krafty’ US CD single Krafty (Eric Kupper Club Mix) CD 9:11 - From ‘Krafty’ US CD single Krafty (Morel's Pink Noise Dub) 12" 7:48 - From ‘Krafty’ US 12" promo Krafty (Japanese Version) CD 4:33- From Japanese ‘Waiting For The Sirens' Call’

Jetstream (Jacques Lu Cont 1st Remix) 12" ?:?? - From ‘Jetstream’ UK 12" single Jetstream (Arthur Baker Acapella) 12" ?:?? - From 'Jetstream' UK 12" Promo (Arthur Baker Mixes)

There has been alot of confusion generated by the "Jacques Lu Cont 1st & 2nd remixes" but I have a theory.

Who produced/mixed the original album version? Stuart Price aka Jacques Lu Cont. I think the 1st remix is actually the original album version, and the 2nd remix which we're getting on the UK Maxi-CD is a new unique one. Well, the "Thin White Duke broadcast" MP3 that's been doing the rounds. Perhaps it was an alternate album mix that was created at the time but lost out to the "1st mix" which in the end was included on WFTSC. OK, that's just guesswork on my part of course, but has anyone actually heard both remixes so we can solve this one once and for all?

Nick and I have spotted single track Jacques Lu Cont mix CDRs going on eBay for outrageous amounts (35 quid). I can't remember but I think it was the "2nd remix" on the tracklisting?

Ally.

Added those mixes to my list above in the first post. What tracks are on the Arthur Baker 12" Promo with the Acapella mix on? haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Wonder if the 'Ana Bridge Vox' could be the same mix as the Acapella?

God, it's a full time job keeping up to date with all these versions!

Some thoughts:

* The Arthur Baker 12" you're asking about features the Arthur Baker mix, Arthur Baker acapella and the Richard X remix.

* The Jetstream Ana Bridge is probably different to the acapella. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the version used in the video clip. That mix is definitely unique to anything we've heard yet and Ana is definitely higher in the mix, with Hooky right down.

* The Jetstream u-myx is not a remix but rather a collection of tracks and some software that enable you to perform a fairly basic remix on the track yourself.

* To cloud the Krafty issue further, some of the tracktimes on my US promo 2x12" do not match those listed on the standard US vinyl release (specifically the Kupper Club and Pink Noise Dub remixes). Without going away and timing them myself I'm not yet sure whether it's a printing error or different edits of the remixes exist.

* The Krafty Riton mix is actually the Re-Rub rather than the Re-Dub, despite what the UK promo CD says. His remixes are always Re-Rubs.

Given that the 1st Lu Cont remix is on the 12", I expect this one to be the extended one that's been broadcast on Tong's show.

There's a snippet of the so-called 2nd Lu Cont remix on the HMV UK website when you click on the maxi-single. The audio quality is poor but it sounds slower and more like the album version.

Perhaps.

A PC extra, along with the lo-quality video, in other words. Never bother loading enhanced audio CDs into my PC, tis all a distraction from the music, at the end of the day!

I'm sure the timings are just tracklisting errors. I time all my tracks myself, just to confirm what the sleeves say. Check out the 5:22 'Gliimers Dub' of Krafty on the UK12" - completely different to the one many people have on the CD Promo.

Re-Rub/Re-Dub. Whatever. Just write down what the sleeves say!

Mr disco... Don't you have my version of Jetstream acapella, created this morning, in my bathroom ?

LUCKY !!!

I can't imagine taht it could be possible to make all that work for songs which are not even 5% as "God" as Blue Monday/World (for example) I'm sure Barney will have a nice retirement, in Hollywood, maybe.

I don't like that "fool" Krafty/Jetstream Mixography. It doesn't mean anything but the MONEY (believe an old New Order fan)

DC - have you come across Le Conts TWD mix of Killers 'Mr Brightside'?. If not, that's well worth seeking out - very similar in style to his Jetstream one, but with the full vocal.

I have these two.

Alchemy Soho CDR

  1. Phones Reality Remix CD 7.05
  2. Phones Reality Remix Vinyl 7.05

I have not had a chance to listen to them yet, so I'm not sure if they are exactly the same or not.

Alchemy Soho CDR

  1. Glimmers Twelve Inch Extended 6.52
  2. Glimmers Dub Version 5.22
  3. Glimmers Alternative Dub Version 5.53
  4. Riton Remix 6.54
  5. Andy Green Master Remix 3.22
  6. Andy Green Vox Up Remix 3.22

Same with this one, I'm not sure yet how different the last two tracks are.

Well that explains the 3 Glimmers remixes. The UK Krafty promo CD appears to have been mislabelled - should be the Glimmers Alternative Dub Version?

Speaking of which, the US 2x12" promo pack are also mislabelled. I ran a stopwatch on the Morel Dub and Kupper mixes and they're both out. My decks aren't precisely weighted, but they appear to be very close to the times on the official US CD.

Mr Discography wrote: Re-Rub/Re-Dub. Whatever. Just write down what the sleeves say!

Well that's the point. Some say Re-Dub, some say Re-Rub. Re-Rub is correct.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub!

Neil, I assume you have scanned all the latest stuff. Could you please send me the WFTSC-era scans? As we speak, I'm incorporating the other scans you sent me. Good stuff.
