Ms. kiddo, this thread is making me laugh so much. So i guess new order brings me joy, dance, and laughter. What else could I ask for.

i wonder if manchester- "home of the cunts, excuse my dry british sense" was on autocue.

He had a whole bit about how he hurt his leg surfing in cali and hand an encounter with sharks

But i suppose he might of had a surfboard dance move.

His dancing is so silly, i love it. I found myself being barney's mirror while dancing. Interpol wouldn't be caught dead dancing like that.

I could be wrong but did i see barney drinking a martini on stage? He must have all the sex and the city dvd's.

Well, I asked a few people if I should turn off the autocue before the show goes on... :evil4:

this is all too funny :) and to think, i thought those were monitors :/ how often does he use those things? surely, its a guide, and nothing more. after playing similar setlists, i'd hope he'd remember most of the lyrics.

They were at both Glasgow 2001 gigs I remember that much.

I first saw them and thought "cool flatscreens" then spotted Crystal's lyrics paused and went  When Pottsy was soundchecking his microphone for RAM's support slot beforehand, he got bored of saying "1-2-1-2-3" and started reading the lyrics off the monitors  The autocues are a bit strange, but I'm sure Barney has good reason for them. If anything we should be greatful for the sheer mileage we've gotten out of them jokewise :evil4:

Ally.

As a suggestion, call the guy "Otto", 2 t's. The correct writing.

I think it's time to quit when Barney starts to sing the words "bass solo" and "Melodica/Phil"...

 I was just going to ask if the whoops where on the autocue as well Poor old Bernard... I just can see him wondering "what can I say funny between each song?" and then writing stuff on the thing because he knows he wouldn't ever remember. It must be a bit sad for him, maybe that's one of the reasons he doesn't completely enjoy touring. It's clear he still enjoys their best performances, but every time he prepares for a gig he just has to tell himself it was a bit stupid to fuck up his memory with drugs. Of course he regrets it, of course it wasn't worth it. Memory is everything, memory is our essence, our soul, the engine of our brain. If I couldn't remember my best experiences I'd fell like being dead, or having never lived...

New Order on tour 2015

Hooky: next week it's Glastonbury

Bernard: oh no, not fookin Germany again! Since when has Jack joined the band?

Hooky: that's Phil, you stupid cunt!

Bernard: oh yeah, the new guitarist, looks like your son though. Alright, let's do this Glassberry show, but let's spice up the set list: what do you think of replacing that silly old song... what's the title... oh yeah: How Does It Feel, with You're Much Too Young?

I'm outraged to hear they're leaving the word gullible out of the next revision of the Oxford English Dictionary.

Why don't they leave our language alone?

Are you talking about Barney or Ozzy?

Right, what we need to do is slip someone a few quid to program it to announce the next song as Age of Consent, then Hooky can play the bassline and it will start, they won't back out even if they make a pigs ear of it! They could even insert the lyrics for him!

Or "What Do You Want From Me"? :evil4:

*Do you think I'm gullible? Well, I am, but actually I thought Nic was joking. After he kept on confirming the story I started to think it might be true (though not still entirely convinced, but I trust him and I wouldn't find so unbelievable Bernard wants a reminder of the funniest things to say, after all his speech has become a part of the show). So my comments are made just choosing the option to believe him, but it's not been easy, gotta take some risk...
