RM mix of Subculture

I dug out Substance on the weekend and forgot just how much I hated the horribly overproduced remix of Subculture. So I dug out my old box of 7" singles and found the EP came free with Record Mirror a long, long time ago and has the best mix of Subculture around. Two questions - was it ever available anywhere else? If not, why not. And secondly, does anyone have a mp3 of it because I don't have the means to transfer it onto my computer. I'm sure it must be out there somewhere and someone here must know where...

The full version (the one you have is an edit) of the Berlin mix is available on "On Hindsight"...

There is an ongoing NewOrderOnline special with Razormaid if you want to buy those...

Complicated, but there are a few good mixes on this... for those who like remixes only.

I listened to the Berlin Mix and I'm not convinced that this is the RM remix. Anyone else got any ideas?

Sarn West maybe? but it's there...

there have been numerous threads about the Record Mirror mix. It's available on the Out of Order bootleg cd in the highest possible quality. Those mixes were named many diff. things. For example, i think the Record Mirror mix is the Sarn West (as spotty said) and V.2..could be V.3 but at that point, who cares.

It is the ultimate mix of Subculture though. I play it at least a couple times a week.

The RM mix is an fade-out edit of the first Razormaid mix (v1.0), aka. Sarm West Mix. You can find that mix on the first Razormaid issue (R-1), CVC #2, and In Hindsight (albeit slightly remastered),

Check out the New Order Discography @ http://www.niagara.edu/neworder for more details.

It's also on "Substance Abuse '94" but may be hard to find.

I remember downloading it from this site about a year or so ago, it had the title "Exclusive Mix".

The Razormaid mixes on Substance Abuse are labeled v. 2.0 and v. 3.0, and I don't believe either of them is credited to Sam West.

Well, I'm just glad that I know what the actual mix is, and that it is possible to get it. Now if anyone wants to send a copy of it to hedgehoggy@gmail.com then that would be the icing on the cake...

Not sure on ebay, but I've just found an online shop that's selling it for 3 quid...

E-mail me if you need a copy, and I'll send you the link! :)

The Record Mirror version is an edited version, the full track was released by Razormaid as Subculture v0 as far as I am aware, you'll have to search through TLV's Discog website, I can't be arsed;)

I always thought it was John Robie who put this together till I was corrected by someone ages back. Apparently it was a Sam West remix.

Absolute fucking class it is an all. I did have a copy of it on 7" till my Uncle John realised that I had *ahem* borrowed his.
