Sorry to be picky, but it's on 316, not 511. I think it's a very slightly different version to that on Retro though, maybe a little more produced on the CD I think CTB

It can't be better than the original 12", FAC 63 or even the 7" mix.

It's a tad too short.

Would've made a great little re-released single version back in 1998 when they reformed - could've been the big hit that Tony Wilson always wanted it to be.

Actually, I think the same goes for the Crystal Method's mix of Bizarre Love Traingle. That was never a whopping hit here in the UK (bit of a dodgy seven inch mix if you ask me), but if there was an edit of the Crystal Method mix, that'd have the potential to get the song the commercial attention it always merited.

Not the time for re-released singles now, however, with new stuff floating about for the next 18 months or so.

No, that was the live version from Reading 98, Temptation 98 was a studio re-recording of the song made at about the same time.

Well Temptation '98 is the latest version and is most probably the best, only problem is it's a bit too short. I like it though, it's nice if you've been listening to the substance version for a long time.

Its a great Version,a must for all temptation lovers.Wonderful song

Agreed that it's too short - at only 4 minutes it feels like one of those dreaded obligatory "radio edits" that NO are so fond of being coerced into making. That "retro" bonus version really should have been the full 7 or 8 minute monty - that would have been sheer magic!
