Yes, here it is, the long awaited 1000th post by yours truely! I'm overwhelmed by the thought of joining the prestigous club of the Movement, and I guarentee I won't let success got to my head. In other words, expect me to become more of a smartass. I'd like to take this oppertunity to thank all the wonderful people who make this site a must-see for me every day. Thanks to you, I have no life (only kidding).
It was a long and difficult journey to this breakthrough, and I didn't become aware of any such destination until just recently, when my tally seemed to rise more and more towards the precipitous heights. As I scaled the moutain, my thoughts were filled with what witty things I might say on just such an occassion, who I would thank, the typical "Oscar win" speech if you will. Instead, I'd just like to share this little thought with all of you, I hope you'll forgive me for being so open about it...
I met the love of my life a couple of years back, and while not going into too much detail, while I'm not with her now, I believe one of these days we'll have our moment in the sun. She's in the Army right now, and needless to say with all the shite that's going on in the world, I'm worried sick for her. The music of New Order, especially Temptation, inspired me to finally articulate my feelings for her before she left for boot camp in July, and I'll always be glad I did so. I guess what I'm trying to say is: If you care for someone but you haven't told them, what are you waiting for? Music has always been my comfort food in times of heartbreak, but it's also inspired me to go out on a limb for what I really want, and while I've not always been successful I'm glad I put in the effort. At any rate, I started calling myself "Taboo #7" because of the feelings of joy and hope I got from that song. I sense I may be rambling here, so let me close off the personnal story.
In short, thanks to Huntsman, Buster, Muffy, Martin (both Gray and fradley), the quartet of beauties (Liv, April, VG, Minxy), The esteemed webmasters, Jeff White, Patrick, Seb Briggs, in short everyone who posts here, this is a wonderful site because of all of you. I hope I continue to be a valued member of the Movement, and I look forward to many more postings in the future
