I've been listening to Primal Scream's XTRMNTR a lot lately and I noticed that Barney is noted in the liner notes as a session musician. It does sound like he might be singing on a few of the tracks, but I can't really tell because he and Bobby Gillespie have such similar voices. So, is anyone certain about which songs include Barney?

is throb the one who did the shared riff in both shoot speed and rock the shack? or was it barney?
Barney's and Bobby's voices are similar? Bobby always sounds like he's wheezing as he's singing.

Nope - it was Barn who played that riff; the jam that produced Shoot speed also layed the groundwork for RTS. I don't think Throb was involved in RTS, it was just Innes and Boaby as far as I know.

Agreed! I don't like it as much as SCREAMADELICA, but it's still great.
I think it's great that NO included Higher than the Sun on their BACK TO MINE comp.

I don't find their voices too similar on Rock The Shack though...
