Apparently on the 12" and Enhanced CD, they are both listed as "Jacques Lu Cont remix", but what I got from Warner from the beginning is that the CD has the 2nd remix.

My assumption has been that the album version would be version number 1.

No, album version is labeled "Ana Bridge Vox" on CD#2...
On the actual CD 2, the album version is called "original version." What I meant was that since the album version is the first version done by Stuart Price/Jacques Lu Cont, they might have been referring to the remix as SP/JLC version number 2. However, that's pure speculation on my part.

To clarify, track 5 on CD 2, which is labeled "original" is not in fact identical to the album version but is more accurately described as "Ana Bridge Vox" since it has Ana doing "J E T" during what is an instrumental passage on the album version, as in the video.
